One of the more delusional threads I've come across.....which is saying something: http://bwi.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=36&tid=159385045&mid=159385045&sid=890&style=2

I need to get off this site and get some work done.
I must have missed the part where they cleared Joe of everything.
It made me angry when she dismissed the whole thing...Reply ...what she needs to do is absolve Joe in this matter, not issue non denial denials and make death references.

He's been dead now for nearly a year, and we need to hear that he is innocent, regardless.
Good luck with allll that.

That, combined with the complete lack of administrative oversight under which JoePa was allowed to function for years, is more than enough to kill that program off right now.

Throw in JoePa forcing out a university vp and unilaterally exempting the athletic department from complying with federal Clery Act requirements, and you alone have a situation worse than SMU even if Sandusky never laid a hand on a kid.

Bill O’Brien wants to take Penn State overseas

Since Penn State will not be playing in the postseason in the next four years thanks to NCAA sanctions, Nittany Lions coach Bill O’Brien has been trying to come up with creative ways to give his team something to look forward to during bowl season. In July, and shortly after NCAA president Mark Emmert levied the sanctions against PSU, O’Brien suggested that perhaps Penn State could play a 13th game against Hawaii. However, that idea probably would have a difficult time coming to fruition.

“It’s normally a part of the penalties in a major infractions case when a postseason ban is issued,” John Infante of the Bylaw Blog told CFT on whether the NCAA would allow that game to occur. “It’s not in the consent decree, so still an open question of whether the NCAA would allow it as a 13th game. My bet is no.”

On his Thursday radio show, O’Brien came forward with another idea: playing a regular season game overseas. “Hopefully we can do something in the near future,” O’Brien said.

Re: 2014 standout Quin Blanding down to 10, no PSU

Who gives a rat's arse? The Penn State coaching staff and fans only want recruits/players that want to be here. Period. If they don't want to be here...they were never Penn State material in the first place. It takes a special kid to play for Penn State. Any talented thug could play at some of the schools you mentioned. And if Phys Ed and watching the grass grow is high on their list I might add. Some schools have a win at all cost mentality. No one with a brain could ever accurately say that about Penn State. I know that Mark Emmert has tried though. But the facts just don't support his lame theory.

There are a lot more important thing in life than just winning football games. It's things like getting a great education, being a leader in the community, being a model citizen, winning the right way, playing within the rules, winning with honor, showing loyalty and so on. A kid can do all of that and much more at Penn State, the same can't be said for players that go to certain other schools some of which are on Blanding's list. What does this tell us about Blanding? That he (by definition) is NOT PENN STATE MATERIAL.

So much to work with here...do we start at the obvious win at all cost mentality that covered up child rape? That it takes a special kind of kid to play there? That there's a lot more to life than winning (409) football games?
