Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I will say this one more time...

Go to a recruiting site, click on their class & sort it by commitment date.
I will answer it one more time - doesn't matter. Sort Michigan's class by commitment date, and you'll see a bunch of early commitments, too. Penn State lost a few kids right after the sanctions were announced, which was to be expected; same thing happened with Ohio State in 2011.

Penn State should rebound fairly well for the class of 2014, and even as damaged goods, they will out-recruit at least one-half of the Big Ten, maybe two-thirds.

PSU isn't playing in the MWC/WAC. The BSU/TCU comparison is completely meaningless.
PSU plays in the Big Ten, so the comparison is completely meaningful.

Not that I thought all Ped State fans actually attended the school before...but I'm starting to believe that most of them don't even know where State College is or what it looks like.

And, of course, there has to be the Pro-Michigan and Ohio State, Anti-PSU conspiracy...

Just for fun (watching Louisville and Rutgers) I listed the Big Ten teams by city, and the populations of the cities (both within the city and metro area) (all numbers found on wikipedia, so take that for what it's worth):

Iowa.................... Iowa City, IA............. 67,862 ...152,586
Penn State........... State College, PA........ 42,034 ...153,990
Indiana................ Bloomington, IN.......... 80,405 ...175,506
Purdue................. West Lafayette, IN..... 29,596 ...182,821
Illinois.................. Champaign, IL............ 81,055 ...231,891
Nebraska.............. Lincoln, NE ...............258,379 ...302,157
Michigan.............. Ann Arbor, MI............ 113,934... 344,791
Michigan State ..... East Lansing, MI......... 48,579 ...464,036 (Lansing, MI)
Wisconsin............. Madison, WI .............233,209 ...568,593
Ohio State............ Columbus, OH ...........797,434 ...1,858,464
Minnesota............ Minneapolis, MN .........382,578 ...3,317,308
Northwestern........ Evanston, IL............... 74,486... 9,461,105 (Chicago, IL)

Note that I couldn't find the metro population for East Lansing or Evanston, so I used Lansing and Chicago. If you think that's wrong, go tell your sock drawer, because I probably won't listen to you about it.

But it's funny that State College has a higher population (city) than exactly one other Big Ten school host city (West Lafayette), and has a higher population (metro) than exactly one other Big Ten school host city (Iowa City).

Now, maybe I'm too much of a midwest back-woods hick to understand what the Ped Aggy fans are talking about. But aren't they talking about population size?

Edit: Oh yeah - one more note. According to Wikipedia, University of Minnesota is in Minneapolis AND St Paul. I only listed stats I found for Minneapolis, though. Feel free to point and laugh at me if St Paul would have changed the results.

The best part of that website is the first picture is of the played out "fans holding up cards to spell words" thing, yet not enough mutants showed up to finish out the word "you". It reads as Thank Yo

No, no, no. That's what it is supposed to say. That was after a cardboard cutout of Yo-Yo Ma serenaded them with an exquisite performance of the Prelude from Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 at the Rally for Resignations.
