I have a hard time believing that 'Southe...A Buck' isn't a troll. His posts always take that extra step across the line into crazy town.

I've often thought the same thing, yet he would have to be playing the longest grift in the history of interweb trolling. Nope, he's just plain batshit Paterno Crazy.

Everything he stood for in actions and deeds was right. He was always on the correct side of history and that was no coincidence. That's why it's impossible that he was aware of the abuse. Not possible. He would have done something if he were aware.

The saddest thing is, I honestly believe a large part of the cult would defend Paterno with an equal amount of fervor over something as banal as a speeding ticket or similar infraction.

Once you start cracking the shell of perfection even a little bit, it becomes much easier to see the reality that Paterno was highly infallible, and in fact did something that most people with common human decency find deplorable or worse.

To continue believing in the "Success with Honor" BS or whatever false legacy they happen to be hanging on at the moment, they have to shut out all reality, not just the obvious reality surrounding the Sandusky cover up.

Plenty of pre-scandal evidence of them doing just that: whether it was over his lax discipline, his road rage incident or the comical way that they deny his sh!tting his pants in Ohio Stadium.

Read the comments to Doyle's article. The groupthink that the cult's echo chamber has created even contradicts what Paterno admitted to in his grand jury testimony and famous "I should have done more" statement.

He has absolutely become some Christ-like figure of transcendent perfection to them......and of course, by their association and devotion to him, that perfection is reflected on them, making them morally superior to all other mere fanbases.

Doyel you still don't get it. Your article is blatantly lacking in facts. Paterno et al reported Sandusky to police and to 2nd Mile, and told him to keep kids off campus. Because of the that, there were NO MORE incidents on PSU campus, and NO MORE incidents for 6 years after the McQ incident.

Come on you guys, back off JoePa. He told Jer to keep kids off campus. Because of Joe's influence, they were able to keep him from offending for 6 whole years.

It was still cool for Jer to be an honored guest in the President's Suite at games up to the week the allegations came out......

PA State Police ordered to turn over Freeh correspondence:

I guess this Bagwell guy is all in for the Pedsters and Joebots. Basically this site is his blog. This is the only place I found any info on this, so take it with a grain of salt, I guess.

But, as with ANYTHING related to the "Ebil Freeh" and his "Ebil BOT minions", the cult has comments:

Yes. I hope it gets us to the point where people will realize Joe hated Sandusky but that he know longer was his boss. I'd love to see Joe completely cleared and his stature put back up and the programs wins under him restored. That could happen, I admit, five years from now. Better late than never.

 Seriously? The Head Coach was "know longer" the DCs boss? You have to say JFC on so many levels of that post. :shake:

I dunno about 11 - 1, but

Aug. 31 vs. Syracuse (at New Meadowlands Stadium; East Rutherford, N.J.) - 3:30 p.m.
Sept. 7 - EASTERN MICHIGAN - 12 p.m.
Sept. 14 - CENTRAL FLORIDA - 6 p.m.
Sept. 21 - KENT STATE
Oct. 5 at Indiana
Oct. 12 - MICHIGAN - 5 p.m.
Oct. 26 at Ohio State - 8 p.m.
Nov. 2 - ILLINOIS
Nov. 9 at Minnesota
Nov. 16 - PURDUE
Nov. 23 - NEBRASKA
Nov. 30 at Wisconsin

Even with small numbers, if they have no key injuries, they could be 5 and 0 by the time Michigan comes to town - 7 and 2 when they hit the three end games - I can see ways in which they can still get 8 wins - but I think 6 is the best guess.

Funny, if Syracuse and Pitt hadn't locked Penn State out, the Big East might still be a going concern.
