Personal Buckeye Wall of Fame

I wasn't sure whether to post here or in the graphics forum, but I wanted everyone's input on a list of Buckeye greats who deserve to grace my walls. I currently only have recent pictures of the past season up as I have been doing, but decided I need something deeper. I was going to go with the retired numbers plaques like I saw on here, but felt that it left out too many Buckeyes that deserve recognition. So if yins would give me your list of deserving moments/players or want to post the pictures themselves, I could overwhelm my girlfriend who wants to put some Pitt stuff up on the wall, and we DEF can't let that happen.

You better have huge walls and lots of them...

The players and moments in Buckeye lore that could / 'deserve' to be included in such a list is immense.

Pick some of your personal favorites...start researching Buckeye History, read some of the many great books out there that chronicle that which is The Ohio State Football and I'm sure you'll add to your own favorites list as the days pass and your knowlege grows.

If you know the history and stories behind a particular player, team, game, then the pic on your wall will mean that much more to you rather than someone else telling you "so-and-so was awesome! he has to be on your wall."

That's what I'd do. (and did :wink2:)

I have done something similar in my basement. On one side of the room i dedicated the years tOSU won a national championship 42,54,57,61,68,70,02. Then on on side i added heisman winners....
Les Horvath 1944
Vic Janowicz 1950
Howard "Hopalong" Cassady 1955
Archie Griffin 1974
Archie Griffin 1975
Eddie George 1995
Troy Smith 2006

As far as individual list of names the 6 up top isnt bad to start... Some personal favorites are Keith Byars, Speilman, Pace, Hawk, Ginn, Allen, Nugent, Tomzack, Krenzel, Gamble, Winfield, Carter, Galloway, Schlicher, Isaman, Glenn.

You have to add the General Mr. Woody Hayes, Paul Brown, Earle Bruce and Jim Tressel.

You cant go wrong, for good reference and names go to Ohio State Buckeyes football - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Good Luck and Go Bucks!!!!
