All time hit leader, he made a mistake
oh I forgot your perfect:tibor:

lame :tibor:

He made a mistake. Repeatedly. And lied about it. Repeatedly. And denied it angrily. Repeatedly. For what....15 years, all we heard was "I did NOT bet on baseball!" Then he comes "clean" when he has no money left and stands to benefit from it financially. Pathetic.

I agree that he belongs in the Hall of Fame, but the guy's a schmuck.

Still, I'd rather have my Tonya Harding signed tire iron than a "I'm sorry" baseball.

I'll trade you my Barry Bonds signed syringe for your Tonya Harding tire iron and Joe Namath scotch bottle.

No thanks. Though your Sammy Sosa cork has caught my attention before.

Okay. The Sosa-cork for the Namath-bottle straight-up? Hell, I'll throw in a Steve Howe crackpipe for free.

Rose's best going on display
Reds Hall exhibit marks his playing career
BY JOHN ERARDI | [email protected]

A scouting report had the following thing to say about a certain baseball prospect in 1960:
"Pete Rose can't make a double play, can't throw, can't hit left-handed, and can't run."
In his 24-year career, Rose systematically proved that scouting report wrong and became one of the greatest baseball players in history.

Starting today, with a private showing, the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum will pay tribute to Rose's career on the field with "Pete: The Exhibit."

CINCINNATI ? Even at the ripe ol' age of 65, Pete Rose is still Charlie Hustle, the Cincinnati Kid and Major League Baseball's Hit King.
Rose isn't eligible for enshrinement in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, having been banned for betting on the game, but the Reds are making sure his myth and legend live on.
