Lord knows we need some bigs... Never heard of this kid, however I'm happy to add some size (although 215 isn't really size... If the kid is really only 215 pounds he needs to bulk up to see some pt at forward in the big ten)

He has close to 2 years before he plays his first game inS&G...

I'm sure he'll fill out...

I really like the verbal, but I'll like it way more if Matta is able to physical big along with Bell like Okafor or Alexander...

Couple of things I already like about him:

Great hands.

Doesn't feel the need to put the ball on the floor down low (you listening, Amir?).

Tremendous length will make him a defensive nightmare.

If this kid develops any kind of an outside shot, he is going to be a good one.

Very excited to see how he progresses. A class of Bell, Bates-Dip, Tate and Okafor would be simply amazing.

Welcome home David:groove2:

This kid has almost 2 more years to hone his offensive game. He looks extremely athletic and also looks like he weighs more than 215 lbs. The lack of big offers does not bother me since he was out of the AAU circuit last summer.

Don't forget Leak, Okafor's teammate @ Whitney, who is also really high on OSU right now.

I assume you mean L.J. Peak and I'm sure he is part of OSU's dream class for 2014 as well...Bell, Bates-Diop, Tate, Okafor and Peak. And if OSU somehow lands Okafor, Sullinger would get a big assist. Last I hard Peak was looking at OSU, Purdue and Florida State.

Let's not forget Russell, and also a PG in either Jones or Lyle.

You're not going to get many college offers if you're a Junior after you don't play as a frosh in HS, get injured as a soph and sit out the whole AAU season. Bell is a rare case where Matta has gotten a commit from a guy fairly early who didn't have a lot of hype/high ranking or offers. It is going to be very interesting to see how he develops. Of course, Anthony Davis was another guy who was a relative unknown until the AAU season after his Junior year.

Yes. Peak. Thank you for correcting me.

Very true (so used to football where the kids are in the program within a year), At his age, he could still grow (up and out :))
