Yeah, that was just an exhibition game; unfortunately, he's just the #4 PG on the Suns' depth chart.

The Suns are great at fucking up. That likely means DW gets very little playing time until everyone gets hurt again.

The Phoenix Suns waive former Ohio State guard Duane Washington Jr. after 31 appearances with the franchise.

Duane Washington Jr. is on the move.
The former Ohio State guard was waived by the Phoenix Suns Wednesday after 31 appearances with the franchise this season. Washington averaged 7.9 points in 12.7 minutes per game for the Suns and made three starts.
Williams liked Lee’s defensive play and was pleasantly surprised with his play on the offensive end. Lee also protected the ball, something that Washington Jr. struggled to do at times.
Washington Jr. didn’t play in four of Phoenix’s last eight games.
Averaging 7.9 points and shooting 36% from 3 in 31 games (three starts) with the Suns, Washington Jr. scored a career-high 26 points, hitting 5-of-9 shots from 3, in an Dec. 27 win at Memphis.
The next month, Lee scored 21 points in a Jan. 8 home loss to Cleveland and went for 25 in a road win Jan. 10 against defending NBA champion Golden State.
Lee joined the team the next game at Denver on the second of a back-to-back.
"He's been good for us," Williams said. "He understands where he is. He's trying to find a home in the NBA and he's done a good job for us. He's a diligent worker. He's always ready. His minutes haven't been consistent, but when he's out there, he's been a benefit to the team."
Washington is in his second NBA season after playing his rookie year with the Pacers. While Washington Jr. had explosive scoring nights, he also could be turnover prone.
The 6-3 guard had a four-game stretch in which he had 15 total turnovers.
Washington Jr. committed four in three consecutive games with the final one coming against the Nuggets in Denver in Lee’s first game with the team.
That’s when a shift was noticed with Washington Jr. playing less and Lee playing more as the Suns were without starting point guard Chris Paul, backup point guard Cameron Payne, Landry Shamet and Devin Booker.

Duane Washington Jr. will soon play professional basketball in the Big Apple.
The former Ohio State standout will sign a two-way contract with the New York Knicks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Washington was previously with the Phoenix Suns on a two-way deal this season.

Knicks' Duane Washington: Rejoins Knicks
The Knicks announced Wednesday that they have signed Washington (thumb) to a two-way contract.Washington was waived by the Knicks in November after suffering a right thumb injury that was expected to keep him out 6-8 weeks. However, with his thumb presumably being healed, Washington will rejoin New York on a two-way deal. The 23-year-old guard averaged 27.3 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds for the Westchester Knicks of the G League before being let go.
