Heavenly sword is very good, exactly like God of War, but very short. Literally like 7-8 hours. Dont pay $60 for it whatever you do. Wait til it drops.

I would pick up either the Creed, COD, or Resistance. All fantastic games.
Too late ... wife already bought me Heavenly Sword for my birthday.

Very good game, though it has some flaws. I imagine I'm a little over halfway through it. I had read elsewhere that the game was only around 7-8 hours long as well, but I'm getting a little more time out of it because I'm going back to checkpoints I've already completed and redoing them if I failed to get a "perfect" score the first time around or feel I missed something. I'm a bit disappointed that it's not very difficult, though, and it's got some horrendous frame rate problems during certain sequences.

I did download the Resistance demo ... not really interested. That just reaffirmed my belief that FPS with a game pad is like trying to eat soup with chopsticks. After seeing Resident Evil: UC and Medal of Honor 2 on the Wii with the Zapper I see even less reason to play with a game pad now.

My next purchase on the PS3 will probably be UT3 w/ a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, since UT3 and the PS3 will support it. If Sony patches Resistance for mouse support later, I may go back and give it a look, though. For now, outside of UT3, I'll probably look towards MoH:H2 and the Zapper on the Wii for my multiplayer FPS fix. The setup is wicked.

Dryden, if you're looking for good games NCAA '08, Fight Night 3 are both good. I hadn't played a boxing game since Mike Tyson's Punchout, took me a little while to get the system down but it was addicting after that. Resistance was cool, fun to play 2 players, multi-player online usually results in beatdowns though lol. I also have Tiger Woods, but haven't had much time to play it. If you're looking for a fun multi-player game Marvel Ultimate Alliance is good, pretty fun even if you're not into comics. I also had one of the first release titles, Dark Alliance or something, hack and slash 3rd person RPG. Its average IMO, but I soured on it mostly because I'm burnt out on those kinds of games after Fallout: BOS, Everquest, and Baldur's Gate for PS2.

I'm about <-> this close <-> to just boycotting EA entirely, so I'll probably pass on NCAA '08 and Fight Night 3. Honestly, I'm just about fed up with them repacking the same shit every year. The only EA published title that really has my interest is Medal of Honor 2 on the Wii, and that's solely due to the Zapper for controller input. I don't know what it is, but I'm giddy about the thought of 32-player online with a knock-off of a lightgun!

I'm thinking about Warhawk on the PS3, not only because it seem to be very well reviewed and a decent title, but also because a bluetooth Jabra headset comes with it in the retail version, and that would come in handy with the wife when she's working from home on her cell phone (or when she's talking to her mom and her sisters, so I don't have to listen to them on a speaker phone anymore).

True, but the headset is very shitty. It's made by mad catz, so the quality and range is not good at all. You can get a much better one online for like $30. Warhawk is very good though. Also uncharted: drake's fortune is awesome.

Mad Catz and Jabra are the same company?

The headset included in Warhawk is a Jabra BT125. Seems to have gotten mostly positive reviews through Cnet and Amazon.

Unless they re-packaged it, it originally came with a mad catz. Mind you, I havent paid attention to it, and we havent sold a copy of warhawk in like 10 years, so it is possible that our stock is old news :)

Edit: Crap, I know what I am thinking of. We carry a headset by itself for PS3, and THAT one is a mad catz, and a piece of shit. Sorry, got my bluetooths in a tangle.
