How many more QBs enter the portal if/when he grabs a portal QB? Could be interesting times if the QB room is a true freshman and two portal QBs next year. Oh, I just love what free agency has done for the sport!

Will be interesting to hear how insiders say this went down. Though we may never know.

Day could have watched the The Game film and told Kyle we’re back to an open competition. He simply hadn’t shown enough to operate at the level Day wants.

Or McCord got ran off by a rabid fan base after losing the most important Game and didn’t like how next year projected.

I think people are over indexing the rabid fanbase part.

There are literally millions of dollars changing hands as part of these decisions. Money, NFL development and playing time are what drives these things.

No one is going to walk away from a situation where those three things all lined up in their favor because the fans said something on a message board.

Not surprised McCord moved on, he and Day never seemed to click.

I would prefer a QB with experience from the portal but I'm really hoping one of Kleinholz or Air can come in and be good enough to take the job. Early schedule next year isn't too daunting, would give them a few games to get their feet under them before conference play starts.

Dillion from OU is the only one that has kinda perked my ears up a bit in the portal so far.
