QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

Could be but I'm not believing it. This is Washington's mo when things go poorly slander the athelete. It works the first few times but after a while everyone notices you throwing people under the bus and never taking resposibility. You gave him the C you let him do the halftime speach of the first game. And suddenly I'm supposed to believe he's been dogging it the whole time?
Last year I remember Adrian Peterson getting in DH for not knowing the offense though. Questioned the effort of DH and honestly this is the 2nd system for him in 2 years.

It took Dwayne 3 years to have our offense down.

DH should've stayed in school but even so I imagine theres a little blame for DH.

This is from from Bill Landis’ latest piece in The Athletic and articulates why I wasn’t too hot on Haskins’ pro prospects coming out. Again, doesn’t mean he wasn’t a fantastic Buckeye and awesome college QB. But pushing the ball downfield in the NFL is key and Dwayne’s advanced metrics didn’t pass the smell test in that regard.

Fields and Haskins averaged 9.1 yards per attempts in 2019 and 2018, respectively. However, they got there in very different ways.

Fields had a fairly even split between throws 10 yards or more down the field and throws within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, per Pro Football Focus. Meanwhile, 65 percent of Haskins’ throws were within 10 yards of the line. He set the Ohio State passing records and guided the most prolific passing attack in program history — while throwing the ball downfield less often than Fields despite having nearly 200 more attempts.

Haskins sent home from the team hotel after saying he didn't feel well this morning. His days in DC are numbered.
They have been numbered since he was demoted to 3rd string and the smear campaign started. No one does that to someone they are planning on keeping, Good orgs also don't do it to someone they are planning on getting rid of eaither. Cause true or not they just severely tanked his trade value. You keep that shit in house nd maybe you get a 3rd to 4th.. Now they are probably lucky to get 6th.

Cool now lets also factor in... Urban Meyer... He was still HC...and had an outsided influence on the game plan and play calling... during Haskin’s time there.. sooo you know Urban woulda run the every living crap outta fields on zone reads....

I'm gonna doubt the illness, too. This just smells like a cover for not bringing him to the game. Either that, or Haskins not wanting to accept the double demotion.
Yeah it's weird ass timing if it isn't an "illness" though stress can make ya sick.. Also their starter is probably concussed and Alex Smith is playing on what's left of his leg. Scary plus could lead to an awkward situation next week if heaven forbid they both get hurt...

I don't know if that's true at all.
First year redshirt, second year played some, third year damn near theismann trophy.

Most of us forget that yes he showed signs in his second year but he was a different dude his 3rd year. He would throw a dime to Saunders on one play and would throw a pick 6 on the next. He would show up huge against ttun but then fumble for a score against Illinois. So yeah I would say it took him 3 years.

Meanwhile JF comes in and kills it year 1. Makes you wonder a bit about DH.

I love Dwayne but I'm open to the idea that he's a hugely talented kid that maybe needs to mature a bit. However him being benched after a 300yd passing game and 70% is horse shit I'll definitely say that.

Yeah there seems to be two stories coming out. One that says he's been sick the 2nd half of the week and vomiting. One from the beat reports that it's esentially trumped up and they don't want him around. Sucky timing to get sck if true and also shame on the beat reporters if he is really sick. They are a big part of the problem why that org is a dumpstger fire... Always chasing the juicy story not caring if it's the correct story.
