QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

Ohio State's offense was overly reliant on QB runs this year because of major coaching issues- ideally the offense needs an efficient distributor to get the ball to the insane amount of talent Ohio State has collected around him- being dangerous running is just an added bonus- and making the correct read on the option is 80% of being a dangerous runner.

I think Haskins can be perfect for Ohio State in that role regardless of his running ability. Meyer just needs to get the coaches to utilize their offensive talent efficiently.

I think everyone knew that Wallace was a project anyway. But there's nothing for me to believe that he still couldn't be a successful QB in this class if he still were to sign. He was going to RS anyway, and another year to sit and mature in the offense would only help, I still could see Wallace fitting in the offense, and he reminds me of Treyvon Boykin, super athletic but young and relies on that athleticism too much. Needs to work on arm and decision making. Not against Haskins, but let's not jump on the new hot girl and forget about the current cute girl who could become hot...

Happy we're getting back in on Haskins. Seems a couple big name national recruits signed on the back of NC hype and their interest has cooled since... Haskins doesn't strike me as a fickle sort of person. With paltry info, but seems like a laid-back cool-headed distributor... I'll take 1 of those guys at QB every year.

Dwayne has a very close family. He has a sister who he cares about a lot and might want to go to a school where she can go. His family attending his games is probably important. I hope coming to Ohio state where he would have a great OL to protect him, great WRs and TEs and backs to throw to and great coaches to take care of him with school and football, and the higher quality football in general, and better exposure would all be enough to outweigh being close to family.
