QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

On NFL teams possibly courting Day after a year or two, here are the top four salaries for current NFL head coaches:

Jon Gruden ..... Oakland Raiders ..... $10,000,000
Sean Payton .... New Orleans Saints ... $9,000,000
Andy Reid ...... Kansas City Chiefs ... $7,500,000
John Harbaugh .. Baltimore Ravens ..... $7,000,000

Urban made $7.6M in 2018, which put him above all but two current NFL head coaches. I would imagine that if Day remains as successful as he has been so far (yeah, we're going to lose some games, but I mean the level at which we're playing and recruiting), there's no reason why the university can't bump Day's salary up to match that. If they do, what incentive would Day have to leave a top-notch college head coaching job? Money would be the only incentive and the university can neutralize that easily. And Day seems to me to be more of the college type coach than pro type coach.
No this is wrong. I've read press releases from yesterday that said that Gruden has been fired. I immediately stopped reading and started partying and haven't really stopped yet. Gruden has definitely been fired and I couldn't be more relieved and overjo......

Oh god dammit.

They will have to start bumping his salary and extending his contract almost immediately because the NFL is going to be used in recruiting against Day mercilessly.

Can't disagree with that. If we actually do end up winning the whole enchilada this year, I could see the university bumping his salary up from his current $4.5M up to near what Meyer was making. Even if we "only make the playoffs", I could see them bumping it up to around $6M which would put him among the top 10 NFL head coaches.

That was a disaster. Slow getting the play in. WR lines up on the wring side trying to shift the running back late... I've heard the Redskins play calls are 15 words.. Why? Even if you tell everyone what to do with one word it should be 11

At this point, I almost think Haskins would've been better off coming back another year, if only to miss going to the Redskins. Yes, you miss out on money and there is risk of injury, but every time he plays, the offense looks like a complete clownshow. They obviously had no intention of playing him, but that's not what anyone is going to take away from this.
