QB Julian "Just" Sayin (Official Thread)

What I think makes the most sense is you take the QB competition into the fall between Brown and Howard. That way the loser of that battle (likely Brown I think) is the backup for 2024.

Then you probably have Sayin as a third string back up. I’d imagine this isn’t good news for either Lincoln or Air though. Hopefully we just get 3 of the 5 to stay in no particular order. Just get the best 3 to stay whatever it takes.

Because if everyone leaves minus Howard and Sayin woah can this season get fucked FAST if Howard gets hurt.

Problem is, Brown may have all the talent in the world, but he can’t seem to stay healthy!
Also, whomever is the backup, BoB needs to make sure to play them in garbage time to get them actual reps. Enough of the Day hand offs in garbage time and then panicking if something happens to the starter

If Sayin is the back up in spring camp that means he earned it, if the other three depart because of that, then so be it. I could see Brown transferring if he isn’t in the top 2 but I dont think Lincoln or Air would based off of a handful of practices, especially if it’s close.

Welcome to the fam Juilian! Prototypical QB for Day, and I'm sure BoB had a lot to do with the decision. OSU now also has arguably the strongest QB room in the country(do go with WR, RB, DT, DE, CB and S)

This is the scenario I see as well. I don’t think LK or Air leaves. But the clock is ticking loud for Brown.
