QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Vs Michigan St:

0/6 on passes that traveled 20+ yards
0/5 and an INT under pressure
17/20 for 206 yards and a TD with a clean pocket

Needs better deep ball accuracy and the OL needs to protect better on designed deep shots. In fairness, he’s been with this unit 10 months and has flashed the ability to drop 40 yard passes in a bucket, he’s just not consistent against good corners.

Luckily the loss of chunk pass plays is offset by his legs, which opens holes for JK and Teague.

He’s JT with better intermediate accuracy and not living off fly sweeps with only 6 starts under his belt. Part of that is having a stronger arm and being able to hit stick routes from the opposite hash, which was a throw JT just couldn’t make.

Finally got a chance to watch the game. That second TD throw to Olave was a thing of pure beauty. In complete rhythm, ball is out on the break, and it takes an NFL caliber arm to make that throw across the field. Needs better pocket presence and to continue progressing with quick reads, but you gotta love where Justin is at. For sure a legit talent.

Spot on. That throw even wobbled and yet was still right on the money...that my friends is pure arm talent

187 in the air. No picks.
65 on the ground.
2 passing TDs
1 rushing TD

Sacked 3 times. No fumbles. -18 yards in sacks.

Bucks up 35 on the board for the win.

167 with 2 passing TDS and one running. More sacks than I anticipated. Was way under on the ground as a result.

Still, a hell of a game for the kid.

Get healthy.
