Well, I'm no Herbie fan, but it's true.

The Big 10 is awful. I know why people get upset when he says it, but he is a national analyst.

The Big 10 is as weak right now as it has ever been. Hopefully that turns around, but right now there's no arguing with him.

The B1G is down but how about the the other conferences? I think that the Pac12, ACC, and the Big East (is that considered a conference anymore?) are below us as far as overall strength. The Big 12 isn't anything to write home about either although they are better than us this year. The SEC is clearly the best conference but having super teams LSU and Alabama make it look much better than it is. For some reason Herbie saves his most critical comments for Ohio State and the B1G and people keep letting him off the hook as being objective. That's what I don't get.

No one cares about the ACC or Big East, neither has ever been a premier conference. The PAC12 has about as many fans as a pee wee team, and the Big 12 is much better than the B1G right now.

Right, but once again Herbie uses hyperbole and injects his personal opinion into his supposedly objective analysis of the Big 10. It's never as bad as he says it is yet he's been forecasting the demise of the Big Ten for years now.

Because its true....nobody gives a shit what these teams do because they all suck. At least people used to hate us because we were good and dominant. This year the Big Ten appears to be a pretty mild group...so no one outside B10 country even wants to spend the energy to hate on the teams. Hopefully that will change soon.

Or no one in SEC country hates the BIG anymore because ESPN doesn't even bother reporting on the BIG anymore, unless it's about arrests or suspensions. Those mouth breathers never have to worry about the Michigan vs. Iowa highlights because they enjoy constant fellatio from one Mr. Herbstreit.

no one got angry or excited for Michigan Iowa before the Disney sponsored SEC era of dominance. maybe decades ago but not for a long time, and that was long before the big ten slipped as a conference
