Colorado tries and tried and tried to bill themselves as our rival and we pretty much just ignored them as we pretty well owned them in all sports---not the stuff on which rivalries are built.
When the Nebraska/Oklahoma rivalry was on usually one or both teams were in the hunt for the MNC and the games were often legendary and epic in scope.

Another Oklahoma slant you'll see used a lot by Huskernation is Oklahomo.

I've always gotten a kick out of 'Land Thieves'.

Dirt Burglars.

Many of us never refer to the state's name for any reason, referring to them as "weasels" (without caps). In all situations. Without exception.

or scUMweasels. or Stinkweasels.

The wolverine is, of course, the largest member of the weasel family, and was named by the discovery channel as the fourth-smelliest animal on earth.

The MSU fans frequently refer to "WalMart Wolverines," who are the most vocal, obnoxious scUM fans. Of course, the clothing section at Walmart is the closest they've ever been to attending UM. Having lived in TSUN for a few years, they are a distinct, and easily-identified group.

One time, a janitor saw the OSU plates on my car, and tried to tell me what a terrible school OSU is. Asked him when he graduated from UM, and he couldn't even come up with a reply.

Anyone wondering about this rivalry, be they visiting Huskers or anyone else; consider this. There is a reason that ESPN made these commercials featuring fans of The Ohio State University and the skunk bears.
