RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

This is a very nice pickup by Tressel. You can never have too many great runningbacks in your fold. This kind of reminds me of the John Brokington and Leo Hayden runningback combo in the late 60s/early 70s (or what Ive read of it atleast). We went from being pretty low on the totem pole with a problem causing Mo Clarett and injury bitten Lydell Ross to posibly one of the best back combos in the next few seasons.

I can see the SI headline now:

Brandon In-Saine runs all over Michigan and helps OSU to their Rose Bowl berth.

Brandon gets my vote for #7 if Teddy leaves early.

It would also fit in another less obvious way, given Brandon's quoted high goal to net a Heisman award and an Olympic Gold Medal

Jesse Owens is shown in one photo wearing the number 777 when representing the USA Olympic team in Berlin. All the 7's :oh: :io:

(Of course he could always settle for the number 3 which Jesse also wore when sporting the USA's colors).

His highly touted track backround reminds me somewhat of Chris Sanders in the mid 90s here at O-State. I thought Tedd Ginn would fill that mold more, accelerating in track while being on a really good football team. However, Im sure with Brandons goals, he will continue to run track here in Columbus as well.

Wow. I am floored on this one. Mom and Pop are diehard scUM fans and alumni, but the son's gonna be a Buckeye.
apparently they were just UM fans, didn't attend UM. Still an awesome steal! Arguably the best piqua player in the past was Dave Gallager, who went on to UM and later the giants. Glad that trend did not continue!
