RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

This is very good news. This kid has major speed to burn and has very nice size.

I am not going to say he is a must get, but lossing him to another school would not be of my liking.

I honestly think from the latest developments that he is ours to lose at the time being.

I have liked Saine since the time I started the thread. Great size and the speed he has is amazing. It was also mentioned that he is a pretty good receiver out of the backfield. Any insight into his football skills? Agility, blocking, vision?

Did they mention if they were recruiting him as RB. There has been some mention of him being a WR. Also with his speed, I'd imagine he could be a pretty good CB if he has the hips

He will be recruited as an offensive player. Probably as a RB first and a possible receiver. I will tell you though he is built like a RB and is pure muscle. He is good enough to play receiver, so you have to like his versatility. Don't look for childhood favorites to play a real big role here at all. But I'm stoked for Brandon and he is just as good of a guy as he is a player. I'll see what I can find out on his current status.

Saine is so athletic he could play a few positions. When I saw him at a meet a few weeks ago he definately looked to be a legit 6'1" and around 200. He has elite speed. He smoked Donnie Evege in the finals of the 55 dash. I'm not knocking Donnie, he is lightning out of the blocks but Saine has killer top end speed. I would say just get Saine signed and see where he fits in.

Considering all of the RB prospects we appear to be in on, I am surprised he was the one of the first ones offered. I've never seen his play, but I had thought Williams or Stephens would certainly beat him to the punch. Fortunately the staff knows more than I do, so I'm happy with this offer. He's a VERY fast kid. I like that.

Time for Mr. Pitcock to go work his magic on Brandon.

Duane LOVES Saine as a Rb...I'm guessing thats where he plays.

I just can't see that happening. I would have to think that Stephens is our number 1 guy at RB, and we are in great shape with him. Then again, i'm not the staff now am I? I'm going to put a video on the Stephens thread you should check out....after watching it I must say I REALLY, REALLY want to see Bradley Stephens AND Saine as Buckeyes.

Saine is being recruited as a RB...Stephens is not as much of a priority as everyone thinks...at least not yet.
