Saine and Dane in '07

Central Catholic senior WR/DB Dane Sanzenbacher will join Saine at OSU and was outstanding for the Irish. He had 12 catches for 195 yards, ran for a TD, intercepted a pass and blocked an extra point.

Got to watch part of the replay on ONN. Brandon with a few years of coaching,.... oh my goodness, he could end up a great running back. I can see why some say he will play wide reciever, he has great hands What really was unique was his down field blocking. This young man does not BS around, sometimes people stayed on the ground.

coachBT (respected UM poster on GBW) passed along his thoughts from friday night:

Saine did not have as good a night but there is not doubt about his talent level/potential. Central "held" him to under 100 yards for sure and am guessing more around 75 but again could be wrong. To me is more of track athlete playing football then opposite. Central kicked away from him and never got opportunity to show that speed. But I ggot there to watch some pregame and watched him warm up and maybe the fastest HS football palyer I ever saw. long power strides. And I have seen woodson, Ginn, RSmith, Peerless price, D Humphreys, Jeremy Lincoln and many others. He did score one TD on sort run. Paper just got here so here are Dane's numbers, 12 catches 195 yards, 1 int.

Brandon will join fellow Ohioan Antonio Jeremiah, who has already accepted an offer to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. As such, it is fairly safe to assume that Scout's return to Ohio on 11/17 will likely be (as I think jwins already pointed out) to extend an invitation to Gene Clifford to play in the US Army All-American Bowl.

Saine-13 carries 148 yards and a touchdown. Caught one pass for 9 yards.

J. Hemm-139 yards on the ground. And was 6 of 12 passing for 121 yards, 3 TD's and one interception.

P. Collier-4 catches for 94 yards, 3 TD's and an interception return for a TD.
