RB Brian Snead (transfer to Iowa Western CC, transfer to Austin Peay, transfer to Arkansas St.)

I'm definitely not seeing a spitting image of Weber. Snead glides at top speed and has a slashing style of running in the mold of Zeke. Weber was/is a bowling ball with mediocre speed but can make people miss with his quick cuts. Snead's athleticism and upside is a level above Weber's, imo
We can agree to disagree, because I see nothing Of Zeke in Snead's film(I do with Dobbins). Nor do I see much top speed with Snead, I see it about as average as Weber's. The same upside was said about Weber when he committed as well. I'm going by Webers HS film BTW.

It's pretty criminal this cats thread is only at 4 pages. I'll admit, I just now caught his videos but I'm all aboard the hype train now. Dude looks legit to me. Also looks to have the ability to move the pile more than recent backs and has more upside than Weber to me unless Mikey really takes the next step this year.

I can see why it appears the recruitment of Tavion has slowed a bit. Not saying the staff won't take both but they seem awfully familiar to me. Each class I keep thinking 2 RBs are needed and I'm not comfortable with depth. But we get really good players early and seem to be content letting that ride out as the recruiting cycle progresses. It just seems like maybe the staff doesn't see the immediate need to take Tavion right now but I could be wrong.

Point is, Snead looks awesome to me and deserves more hype. Kind of a similar recruiting story so far as Dobbins. Will be interesting to see if this cycle too ends with just 1 RB because, like the Akers recruitment, the staff is clearly still interested in Zeus. What could be unique this year however is that Tavion Thomas appears more appealing than Ellison. If Zeus goes elsewhere and Tavion is still available at end of cycle then I can see a class of 2 RBs. If that doesn't happen does the class just have 1 RB? Hard to say but one thing is clear, Snead is a stud and it was smart he committed early- for both parties.

Agree fully! But I can see this thread being so short, because Snead plays no recruiting games you hardly ever seen him on social media on doing many interviews. He's a kid who figured out where he wanted to go early on in the process, committed and closed everything down. no problem with that, and no problem if another RB is brought in with him, he doesn't seem like the type to shy from competition

Bottom line, you can't say no to either Zeus or Tavion IF they want to be in this class. And perfect world, with Weber being eligible to move on to the NFL with an outstanding year, McCall possibly being better suited as an H-back, and low numbers behind those two, this would be a great year to bring in 2 RBs for competition and depth.

With that said though, Snead's the real deal. His talent is such that despite what I said above, if he was all we would bring in for 2018, we'd be just fine. One of those players with God-given ability that has a little bit of everything in his skill set
