The best thing about growing up before cable..I didn't need a talking head to tell me Jim Brown was a decent running back and that Jack Tatum could hit hard. It seems like some fans need idiots like May Alberts Mc Shay to validate their player or team. Who made them Gods anyway?

I tend to agree but it's one thing for fans to be lazy when it comes to watching all the games, it is quite another for the head analyst who gets paid to watch be too lazy to do his job.

Todd McShay on ESPN has a video up with him and Mel Kiper debating who the best QB, RB, & WR will be in the draft this year. Kiper picked Beanie. McShay picked Knowshown Moreno over Beanie because of Moreno's instincts and "toughness", which he says is the big difference between him and Beanie. As evidence, he cited that Beanie 1) doesn't like tough hits, 2) chooses not to run over guys, 3)chooses to run out of bounds rather than pick up the extra 2-3 extra yards, and 4) doesn't love the game as much as Moreno. But his big equalizer is that Beanie is slightly more talented than Moreno. WTF?

Sounds like someone watched one game of Beanie (most likely "The Game") and suddenly became an expert. Ass clown.

2009 NFL Draft Preview (2nd video down on the right as of this moment)

Todd McShay is an assbag.

:oh:

If we take history in to account, the Bengals will draft Beanie then he will get injured sometime his rookie year (Carter, Perry, Irons).

Actually the Bengals were scouting USC when they drafted Keith Rivers. With the lack of scouts the Bengals have, they keep drafting from the same college very often. I see them drafting Maualuga.

Truthfully, there are worse draft strategies than "take the best available USC player".

I have been a Browns fan forever, but I'm still mixed on them drafting Beanie. I just don't want to see him get shafted with an always-injured offensive line. If their best five linemen can get and stay healthy, then I would be excited to see Beanie in Cleveland. I just don't think it will ever happen.

I'd love to root Beanie on as a Brown, but if the Browns draft offense first, they're dumb. Bottom line.

Beanie won't be a Brown. I continue to cross my fingers that Malcolm wil though.....

I am ,unhappily, a bungles fan-I know.....I know......you don't have to tell me......but anyway, I would HATE for them to draft Beanie, with the O-line they have he would be getting hit in the backfield on 4 of every 5 handoffs. I'm with the others who hope he slide a just enough to go to a decent team, I would honestly feel bad for him if he was drafted by Cincy, there isn't a moire dysfunctional team in all of the NFL, including the Lions. Word is they're looking defense and O-line anyway, I hope so!

I can't believe that guy would call out Beanie's Toughness? The guy played on one foot for the past two seasons, a broken hand, and also was constantly dealing with small injuries as well (hamstring, shoulder). So he went out of bounds a couple times this year? Name one player who doesn't? There's not one person who doesn't run out of bounds when the there's no other battles to be fought on a play.

I hear constantly people say that Tebow is the best short yard back. Well I think beanie is 1B and he does most his work in the middle of the field and last time I checked you can't run outta bounds between the hashes. I can't stand Todd McShay he has no business speaking to a mass population and most of the time his Analysis is way off the mark. It's hilarious trying to watch him debate with Kiper because he get's embarressed every time they go head to head. Pussy

I don't remember Todd McShay liking any Ohio State players. He continued to rag on Vernon Gholston last year as well. Did the University reject his application or something?
well it's not like he's been wrong so far on that one.....but he needs to be called out for saying Beanie runs out of bounds to avoid hits. That happened one time that I can ever remember...and I'm talking about his entire career. If I remember, he didn't play at all after that so I'm assuming he had some kind of minor injury.
