RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Yeah Whizenhunt confuses me. He calls pass plays in obvious run situations with Kurt Warner, Fitz, and Bolden. It worked cause the talent was there even if the calls were stupid. Losing two of the 3 and calling the same game is stupid. Not only that but he was coming off a game where he had 75 yard on 14 carries. Admittingly, it was against the Raiders but he should of gotten in much earlier.

Agree with your second point. However, I fail to see how you can look at the results and come away that it was "stupid" to have such an agressive passing attack the previous 3 years. The offense had massive success throwing the football on all downs.

But I do agree, that right now they need to just ride the run game with Beanie and Hightower because they have no QB, and their Oline can't pass block for crap.

The point I was going for was I'm not sure it was his coaching decisions bringing about the success. I think the talent he had on offense between those 3 was bailing him out. There were numerous times on their superbowl run where the receiver was cover or double covered and Warner threw it up and Fitz or Bolden made a play. I wouldn't really attribute that to coaching.

Whisenhunt says Wells is just a competitor
by Ryer Ulland/Sports 620 KTAR (October 6th, 2010)
Cardinals Extra

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt believes that Beanie Wells was just acting out of frustration when he responded to being asked about his playing time on Monday. The Cardinals have not had a smooth start to the season, and Whisenhunt feels his running back is just a competitive person that wants the opportunity to improve the team.

"I understand Beanie's frustration. I think we are all frustrated at the way things have gone for us," Whisenhunt said. "Beanie is a good player, he feels like when we are not performing as well that he wants to help the team."

In his second year, Wells has spent most of the season on the bench due to a knee injury, but feels he is ready to contribute more to the team now. He did tell the press that he was frustrated with his playing time after only getting five carries in Sunday's game against the Chargers, but the team is past that and ready to move on.

"Me, myself being a competitor, I want to be out there and contribute on the football field. I think coach pretty much understood that," Wells said. "I may have said some indirect way but coach understands where I was coming from and that's behind us now."

The Ohio State product has talked with Whisenhunt about what he told the media with regards to his lack of carries. He claims the press may have exaggerated his comments, but there is nothing he can do about it now.

"I don't know if we necessarily have a better understanding, but me and coach have talked," Wells said. "I said some things out of frustration I probably shouldn't have said and I think some guys took it out of context and it is what it is."

The typical attitude around here would be "trust the coaches" but Wisencunt is a fucking idiot and deserves to be questioned about everything he does. Anyone that doesn't like Wells saying he'll go to the coach to the media is taking the comments out of context, plain and simple. But some folks around here will always find any way to take a jab at him because Beanie murdered their team for three seasons as a Buckeye.

Just admit that you're never going to like a guy that put a stake in your heart every November that he was in college. :tongue2:

once they go pro, i could care less where they played in college. I like Wells, hope he can get healthy and do some good.

Guys like Shawn Springs, Joey Galloway, Eddie George, Troy Smith, Big Kat, all those guys I followed once they went pro. They were/are exciting players. Just because they went to a college I dislike doesn't make me hate them once they leave.

Except David Boston. Never did like that guy, even after he went pro.
