RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, New England Patriots)

how much clearer can I be?

Elliott didn't get investigated for no reason, he did something to get the whole thing rolling

the fact the NFL's punishments are all over the place has nothing to do with it

What is it that you know he did? And the he had to have done something..... Roger goodell..... just doesn't cut it.

And your lack of logic is simply underscored by your PSU false equivalency.

You need to be a lot clearer. You're the only one throwing out "hero worship". You're the only one that thinks it doesn't benefit the NFL to excessively over-punish a player to look better in the eyes of the public.

I don't even know if it's fair to say that Elliott did something to get the ball rolling. And even if you think he did, that doesn't mean an over the top penalty is justified. That's the definition of circular logic. The punishment isn't unfair bc the NFL wouldn't hand down an unfair punishment....thus the NFL's punishment must be fair.

The insult of all insults is when you decide that anybody who is against the punishment based on the facts as we know them must be participating in hero worship.....and is on par with the mutants over at BWI. Nobody could possibly just be upset with the NFL doing something unfair.....it must be because we're all up Elliott's ass bc he won us s title.

Jax is being contrarian mostly. Was Zeke being a dumbass at times. Yes he was. Did he deserve to get punished for the accumulation of incidents. The answer probably yes again. But if the NFL found new evidence that proves Zeke beat her it should immediately be turned over to the police and they should prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. I'm not going to judge either way and throw kids under he bus saying he's a horrible piece of shit just cause the NFL says so especially with their past dodgeyness on this and other issues.

At best I have to say that nobody here has full access to the information available to the NFL after nearly a full year of investigation. So the remarks accusing the league of some sort of conspiracy are ignorant, even though they might (unlikely but possible) prove to be right.

I would agree with this. I suspect Elliot's attorneys have done their own investigation. The appeal may focus on whether there is additional evidence the NFL did not have or did not consider. I suspect they will also examine very closely what evidence was presented to the outside panel. Did they get everything or was it more like a grand jury and they only received the incriminating evidence.

One thing I am certain of is that only a very small amount of information has been made public at this point and it is not nearly enough for the fans to make any reasonable conclusion as to what happened.

Jax is saying the same thing he said when Tatgate started and he's getting the same kind of blowback.

"We just want the truth. I am not ready to believe our guy could do anything wrong"

their guy gets punished

"This report/investigation was total bullshit!!"

lather rinse repeat

I should have stuck to what I promised myself I would do and stayed away from this one.

If he did what is alleged, yeah I'm done with him. Thus far, it doesn't look good, but I don't guess I actually know much of what transpired. But I'd agree that the if NFL suspends a guy for 6 games, they obviously think he did something pretty bad. They could be wrong, but I don't know that either. At this point, I don't know enough to defend or convict him, but I'm uncomfortable with the overall trajectory EE seems to have been on.

I'm still not forced to choose which of them is awful. I tend to think Zeke deserved a body of work penalty, but being a man and telling the actual reason is tough so Roger made up some nonsense and didn't really try to get truth, just supporting details.

Shouldnt be 6.

Probably should get some punishment for being an overall knucklehead.

If the girl lied, Gooddell needs to apologize and retract the "Domestic Violence" part. If there is other evidence, he should present that - right to face one's accuser and all.

Either way, keep your damn head down, do your job, get rich and have a blast without the distractions.

It's not a court case. It's an employer suspending an employee. Zeke's attorneys will see the evidence. No one is obligated to make it public.

I'm one of the few Cowboys fans here and I'm not as fired up about it as some others. Go figure.

Zeke has been playing with fire from a conduct standpoint. As much as I hate to lose him for 6 games, I think he needed something like this to get his attention. if he learns from it and grows up, it'll be good in the long run.
