RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

Does anyone here really think Berry can get serious playing time with Boom and Zoom? I remember watching his highlight tape and it was amazing. The potential is there.

Who has 2 thumbs and thinks Jaamal Berry could get some serious reps next year?

This guy. :wink2:

While I appreciate DiNardo's optimism, I think it will be a very big challenge for Berry to earn a significant amount of snaps with Herron and Saine back, along with Jordan Hall. I agree with you, I would love to see Berry become another weapon to incorporate into this offense, and I think if he stays healthy he become a good player, but has some catching up to do. Let's hope DiNardo's prediction comes true!

If he's healthy he has a good shot to play a lot. They held his RS off a long time because they wanted to get him in the mix. That tells me he's very talented and showed the staff a lot before he got hurt.

No offense to Herron, but Berry has a helluva lot more natural ability at the RB position. A Saine/Berry combo would be very explosive. Moreso, than Saine/Herron.

Just thought people would like to know; Jamaal has put on a good probably 10-15 lbs of muscle since he's gotten here. Remember that picture in which it looked like the shoulder pads were engulfing him? It's going to be a whole new ballgame next season. From all accounts it's only helped his burst having more lower body and core strength.

That should put him at 200+ lbs, right? With his quickness...:yow1:

I can't wait till the spring game!:osu:

 Not quite...he said that his HS coach fudged his weight a bit coming out of HS. So he's probably at like 195. Now we all know that you lose weight during the course of fall camp and during the season, so I think that while he'll put on more muscle he will officially weigh in at around that weight come beginning of the season. His frame looks like he can handle some more good weight with no drop off, too. No doubt, he is a very solidly put together kid.

What else...uh...Duron cut his hair while Dorian Bell seems to be growing his

Also, Barnett is about as thick as you can get at his position, I think he's moving towards playing safety. The guys are all very, VERY, excited and amped up to get back to football. The trip to LA (of course paired with a victory) definitely has bonded this team together more, as guys are hanging out with other guys on the team that they weren't hanging out with last year. Becoming a very tight knit group. Since they're so young, they're practically foaming at the mouth to get back at it. Especially Berry, Corey Brown, and Dorian Bell. While they accepted the redshirt year knowing that that's what they needed, it's only made them hungrier. Dorian Bell is going to become a special teams nightmare ala Brian Rolle, Thad Gibson, and Sabino have been when they were young pups.

I can't wait to see Jamaal Berry in action, but for some reason, I'm really looking forward to seeing the improvement in Jordan Hall. There were times last year as a true freshman that he looked like the best tailback on the roster.
