RB Jermil Martin (transfer to Northwestern Oklahoma State)

This has been a wild and crazy few days - multiple important visits as the recruiting season draws to an '08 class close.

Underclassmen returning in significant numbers.

And now, previous Iowa commit reverses his field and comes back to his first love, the Buckeyes.

Wild and crazy stuff.

Welcome aboard Jermil - get over the ACT and get into Columbus!

Cool...another surprise and it's nice to further enrichen the Glenville pipeline. Also, thank God for coaches like Ted Ginn Sr. that make the most of their players off the field and not just on it. Most all of the young men from Glenville are always good people and well spoken. Welcome aboard Jermil :osu:

Edit: Just watched his film and was impressed. He is a good athlete but I was mostly impressed with his desire. You can tell Jermil has a love for the game and just plays really hard. You can tell he just has the will to win and I really like this pickup.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING beats having a hard-nosed, bad-ass Glenville kid who dreams of playing at TOSU hopping on board. When JT says his prayers at night, he should thank God for his wife, his kids, his mom and late dad, all his friends and loved ones, AND Mr. Ted Ginn, Sr.

Peace.

Man was that video impressive. He's much faster than I expected. He's quite explosive at contact also. On defense when he decides to get off of a block to make the tackle, he does it in a hurry and the tackle is made most assuredly. Ooooh I like him. Welcome to the O-Train Mr. Martin!

FOOTBALL COMMITMENT

Buckeyes get another Tarblooder

Monday, January 14, 2008 Bob Fortuna

Plain Dealer Reporter
Jermil Martin's visit to Ohio State could be called just a formality because the Glenville High School senior knew where he wanted to play college football when he was in elementary school.
"Being a Buckeye has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid," said Martin.
Martin's dream became reality late Sunday afternoon when the running back/linebacker gave his oral commitment to OSU.
