Pure scat back, yeah right. I think people will be surprised at this kids power.

his size in the Big 10 is a slight concern, but with arms like that, he looks like he could handle the beating pretty well. wonder what his durability is like? i really hope we land him, both to improve our class and to get another kid from Florida in the pipeline...

I wouldn't equate large pipes with high durability as a running back. Most division I-A running backs are going to have "assault and battery" arms. I would imagine that Lydell's pipes are at least that size. That being said, I hope we get this guy too.

I'm not equating big arms with durability at all...I was just pointing out that the kid looks like he is built solidly and wondered if that would help him hold up in the Big 10, especially if he got up to 210-215. Bo Jackson was built like a super-human but was constantly hurt, so obviously muscle mass and durability have nothing to do with each other.

Now that I read my comment, it does appear that I was addressing you alone. I really was just making the comment in general. Most all of these recruits are going to pass the "look" test. I still think that OSU should go after Wells hard and I think they are doing just that. But check out the new thread on the running back from the State of Washington (sorry forgot his name - Stewart). The Bucks might want to add him to their "recruit hard" list.

no worries, couldn't agree more...most of these kids are in great physical shape. I can only think of one guy last year, an in-state o-lineman who the Bucks stopped pursuing, that was not in real great shape (won't mention names, but I think you know who I am talking about). I read up on Stewart this morning and was extremely impressed although Stewart's offer list is just a bit puzzling. I would think the #1 back on Insiders would have offers by now from the USCs, Miamis, and LSUs of the world. Hopefully we make a push for him because I really loved his video, and I know Newberg and Long really like him too...
