Curtis Samuel -- Junior Film

Wow. Had to watch that first play about 5 times. Sick

Curtis looks like he's this year's Dontre Wilson that we're recruiting. Killer on the Jet Sweep/Reverse and making everyone miss. Kid just glides. He's a playmaker and another fantastic pivot candidate for this offense.

With the top players I usually watch their videos several times throughout their recruitment. Maybe I don't watch much at the beginning because I don't want to get my hopes up. This kid has lateral moves that are so smooth and he seems to not drop his speed at all. He's a truly elite player there's no doubt. It's obvious why Meyer wants him so bad. I simply can't imagine him on the field with the other playmakers from this class and the last one. :yow1:

Teams hope to have just one, maybe 2 gamebreakers on the field at the same time. It's no exaggeration to say we will have 4-5 on the field together and that's just because it's hard to get a lineman involved in scoring points.

The versatility of these players too is staggering. I know Herman is tabbed by some as being a potential HC soon but I don't know how he could depart soon with these kind of weapons to tinker with.

Update: NJ.com has since confirmed that Curtis Samuel is slated to visit Rutgers, Thursday.

Curtis Samuel of Erasmus Hall (Brooklyn, N.Y.), a recently-appointed 5-star prospect, is in the process of slating an unofficial visit to Rutgers for this week, Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports.com reports. The 5-11, 180-pounder ran a 4.36-seocnd 40-yard dash and produced a 40-7 vertical leap at the Opening -- an invite-only nationally televised combine event held at Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Ore. Although holding national offers, Rutgers and Ohio State appear to be in a battle for landing the services of the explosive star.

The Scarlet Knights moving into the Big Ten conference provide Samuel's family the opportunity to see him play in-person and develop. While Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer's link to former Gator, Percy Harvin, and the offensive output he was able to help Harvin accomplish, add to the allure to the Buckeye program for Samuel.

Samuel has a preference to perform on the offensive side of the football at the collegiate level, although being recruited on both sides of the football, nationally. He would get that opportunity both at Rutgers and Ohio State as both schools view him as an elite offensive play-maker.

This past weekend, Samuel visited the Ohio State campus and spent a considerable amount of time with Urban Meyer and staff. Now, it appears to be Flood and company's turn.

In 2012, Samuel accumulated 1,047 rushing yards and 13 rushing scores on just 91 carries. He also took two punt returns and three receptions for scores. Defensively, he tacked on 35 tackles and a pick.

Samuel holds offers from some of the top collegiate football programs including Alabama, Miami (Fla.), Notre Dame, Ohio State, Florida, USC, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
