I,Robot - Pretty good, although I could have done without all the cheezy Will Smith lines that are there for the under 18 or under IQ 100 crowd. Still, enjoyable movie.

The Village - I liked it, even though I'm sure post people didn't. It's hard to discuss this movie without giving something away. Maybe I just like it to support my Indian brother.

Collateral - Very good. Tom Cruise needs to do more movies like this. Michael Mann is a great director. This was much better than Ali, but not quite as good as The Insider

Spiderman 2 - good, but I think it was overrated. I hated the ending...it's always annoying when the "bad guy has crises of conscience and turns good" schtick saves the day.

Still have to see Manchurian Candidate, Fahrenheit 9/11, and of course, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.

I haven't seen any of these, but I'm glad The Village is getting good reviews- I really want to see that one. After Unbreakable, I wondered if M. Night was a flash in the pan- that was a really stupid ending.... Signs was pretty cool, and I'm really interested in The Village.

actually The Village is getting the worst reviews of any of his movies. check out rottentomatoes.com
I think Unbreakable is the best.

I actually liked Village, but not in the way I expected. I didn't find it eerie or suspenseful. The typical MNS "plot twist" is pretty clear about 20 minutes in, but I found the movie thought provoking about many very relevant and current issues in a setting without the current political baggage. Also, cinematically, I thought it was really good.

Spiderman 2 was impressive in special effects but the plot was pretty weak. I thought was cool that his identity was shown to others. That "no one in the world but me knows who I am" crap is lame. The sequel is already on the board, so I think they used that to set it up.

I,Negrobot was not as good as I expected. The special effects with the robots were great, but the ones with the car chase were so obviously CG that it wasn't impressive. Will Smith (thus my modified title) wasn't as good as he normally is.

As for White Chicks, the only really funny part was the toilet flatulence scene. Otherwise it was so stupid, it's surprising I let my friend drag me into the theater...but she paid for the popcorn so f**k it.

Bourne Supremacy was pretty good, but not great. Killer chase scene, though. Definitely "sequel" is written all over it.

Mili, if you liked Bourne Supremacy, you need to read the books. Robert Ludlum is the author, and the books are a shitload better than the movies.

The books are fun to read, but one thing that drove me nuts with Ludlum is he really never did that great of research. I remember reading one of his books years ago and he was talking about a Cobra helicopter being a troop carrier. After reading a couple of Clancy books you can see the difference between an author who goes into intimate detail and another that writes more for storytelling.

I have yet to see the new Bourne movie, but the Bourne Identity was great.

Spiderman II is still the best movie of the summer. I need to see that on IMax.

My siblings have been quoting Napolean Dynamite ever since they saw it. Apparently it was pretty funny. I find that hard to believe having seen the previews, but I guess they really enjoyed it...

Yahoo! Movies said that there are six (that's right, SIX!) Spiderman movies planned. Talk about soaking 13 year olds for every dollar .. there's still four more to go!

I don't know about you guys, but I want to see Alien vs. Predator badly. I love the first Predator movie: it doesn't get any better than Schwartzneggar, Jesse the Body, Apollo Creed, and four other bad asses with enough ammunition and guns to start World War III on a special ops mission in South America who accidentally bump into an alien killing machine!

I dunno, maybe that's just me ..
