For those in the know....is this (giving the kid a ND jersey) a possible recruiting violation?

I was careful to not say they gave him the jersey...just that they brought one with them. Besides, only Lane Kiffin would be dumb enough to commit a high profile recruiting violation on the #1 player in the country after only being on the job for two weeks.

I think it would be a recruiting violation if it had his name on the jersey. That might fit into the same category as having a recruit's name and picture on the jumbo screen at the stadium.

ND doesn't put names on jerseys...and the article said his number

Maybe Tressel could bring a national championship ring with Seantrel's number engraved on it. That might make for a better "show and tell".

frankmp was just pointing that not only would giving him a jersey be a violation, simply having the jersey with his name on it--given to him or not--would/could be a violation.

It's not a violation unless it was given to him gratis. Programs put names on Jerseys all the time when recruits visit. In the article it did not say Kelly "gave" it to them.

Here is an inside look at an official visit...of course they vary school to school.

It's funny, grad... your link didn't say anything about the part where you go to the strip club.

Recruits would be wise not to get too personal on Facebook, Web

Story Highlights
Last week, three Miss. St. recruits posted details about their visit on Facebook

That wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't made reference to a local strip club

Fans, media are looking for info on players and will expose wrongdoings
