So your telling me that one of the best CB in the country was not deserving of any attention?

While you're sucking up to Uncle G, did you let him know that you're telling people his nephew is FSU's to lose at other sites? Just wonderin'.....

This is no offense to Genron at all, but if he didn't post here this would be a non-issue with most of you. Like I said, agree with it or not, this takes place at schools all over the country.

1.I don't suck up to nobody.....

2. Fact, LJs Dream school is FSU and we will need the hand of God to pull him away from FSU.
3. it was only on the scout site, not multiple sites....

4. I said it was my opinion......

Perhaps you could rehash genron's posts from now on, seeing as you have a handle on what parts of his post to dismiss (to support your hand of god hyperbole), and which to believe .

Come to think of it, perhaps I should just think more negatively. That seems to be the common denominator here.

So rivals drop him 3 spots b/c he didnt do the nike camp. They were [censored]ed and still are right now b/c of that. I told them it was planned since Jan. not to do the Nike camp. It's not like he's getting paid to do it. Plus they thought he was grand standing b/c he went for the photo shoot for espn (espin) and just walked around field. Anywayz, i care less for rankings right now. I think if your in the top 500 you are a pretty good maybe great HS player. Just look at how many kids actually play HS ball. And to be considered in the 150 is pretty amazing to me.

That's the right attitude to have. We never put a ton of stock into rankings anyway; if the coaches think that a player is worth the offer (which LJ obviously is) then we don't get wrapped up in whether or not they're highly rated. We have a long history of secondary kids coming in under the radar and leaving as AA and NFL calibur players. I'm sure one of my constituents can look it up? I'm thinking Jenkins, Washington, Doss, Youboty, Salley, I'm sure there are more. Malcolm was a 3-star coming in!

It goes far beyond the secondary as well. Laurinaitis and Hawk being two of the standout LBs. Robiskie and Hartline this past year. I'd be interested to see what college puts more 3star or less recruits out of HS in the NFL.

The only school that seems to be putting as many as us in the NFL period is USC and well...anyone who watches the STAR rankings knows that you don't go to USC unless you're a 5 star :P

I forget the exact number and order but tOSU and SC have put the most players in the NFL since 2000 out of all other D1 programs. You can google it or whatever to find the exact stats on that. And we hold the record for most players picked in one draft at like 14 I think back in '03 or something.

Yeah, I know us and USC are 1-2(I thought we were first)...and I also know that we hold the record for the 03 draft. We also have the most 1st rounders I think in that time frame.

But my question is, how many 3star or less HS recruits have these top programs put in the NFL(actually made a team, and played in a meaningful game). I have to think we'd be tops in that as well under Tressel.

Miami has the most first rounders and it's not even close.

That was the 2004 draft (14 picks)...

Number of first-round picks from the 2003 draft onward:

Miami: 16
USC: 11
tOSU: 11

Throw in the five first-rounders from the 2002 draft and Miami has 21 first-rounders in the last eight drafts.

Jordan Hicks

This may or may not mean anything but, I was at the Cincinnati Zoo this past staurday May 9th with my daughter and son. While passing the new education center, walking up the path toward us was none other than Jordan Hicks and a girl. What is significant is that he was decked out in Ohio State gear and colors:osu:. I acknowledged him and said I hope you choose TOSU, he said "Yes Sir"

I would have only been impressed if his girl was wearing Buckeye gear because then you KNOW he'd be going to OSU. :tongue2:

She wasn't decked out in Burnt Orange, was she?

I'd advise that everybody be more careful in saying that we hope you come down to OSU because of NCAA recruiting violations. I am not sure what the rules are, but that seems like its on the fence. Interesting story though.
