Reds Tidbits (2011 Season)

Was planning on having a bunch of friends down from Dayton to go to the game tonight (half price tickets thru work) but we bailed on it a couple days ago after keeping an eye on the forecast for a while. I didn't want to buy a couple hundred dollars worth of tickets and the be left holding the bag on all of them if they bailed because of rain. Some of my friends can be shady about that kind of thing. Then all of a sudden this afternoon we find out that it's probably not going to rain during the game at all. Not a great crowd for a Friday night, but between the opponent and the forecast we've been getting here for the past week it's better than I expected to see.

I'll probably go on my own to Monday's game instead.

Well before the game it was a question of which slop artist was going to have his big correction game tonight, Arroyo or Morton.

Looks like it's going to be Arroyo.

FoxTrax indicated the gopher ball caught the lower inside corner of the zone. Arroyo has thrown a couple bad pitches so far, but I don't think that was one of them.

Yeah gametracker had it being a pretty decent pitch. he just seems a little wild and then gave up the 0-2 double.

Hits by the punch and judy crew they have from #5-#9 just annoy me.

Lets hope the bats pound Morton, he's been living a charmed life ERA wise so far this year-he's due for a beating.

Cowboy mentions that Overbay used to play for Toronto and we all know how well they hit Arroyo.

That beating was so bad its still talked about in hushed tones.

in the meantime he gives up a double to fucking Pedro Alvarez. :shake:

Arroyo is just off tonight.

Arroyo is always good for a couple of games where he gets rocked. This looks like one of them.
