Reds Tidbits (2013 Season)

How many people are going to bitch about some arbitration BS if they try and keep Cingrani up and send someone else down?

He has nothing else to prove in my eyes. It would be great if he had a nice breaking pitch but the fucker still struck out 11 today without one. He has 28 K's in 18 innings. He's 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. Fuck the stupid shit. Leave him in the rotation and get rid of the dead weight!

I think he's pitched so well as a starter that the Reds are probably considering moving him to the bullpen.

They will almost definitely send him down to AAA, but a starting rotation of Cueto, Latos, Bailey, Arroyo, and Cingrani is pretty good. It won't matter what we throw out there on the mound if the team's inability to hit with RISP and OBP percent in LF and SS don't increase.

Cingrani absorbs Arroyo's spot next year. They're not moving anyone.

I agree with the logic but I honestly think LF is going to become such an issue it will force their hand.

Heisey/Paul/Robinson are just not MLB caliber players and you can't give up a pure offensive position like LF to a dead stick.

You have SS, C, P and currently RF using up all the dead wood a lineup can afford to have.

I say Leake and some of the blocked position guys to Seattle for a 3/4 season of Mike Morse. They are desperate for pitching, not going anywhere and he's a FA to be. They can go buy him back in the off season if they really want him.

Next year the Reds can go Cueto, Latos, Bailey, Cingrani, Chapman in some kind of L/R order that will allow Dusty to sleep at night.

Granted they are streaky, but Bruce is at .262 and Mes is at .250..not exactly dead weight there. I'd agree with LF and SS however.

Mes doesn't play anywhere near every day unfortunately. Corky and Hanigan to date are completely worthless with a bat in their hand.

Bruce is streaky as hell but as of right now Warren actually has put up better numbers in Cleveland.

I expect both to get going but the point remains, LF can't be an out machine because someone else is going to be struggling at some point. You can afford a weak stick at a premium defensive position like SS, you just can't have it in LF.

The real kick in the nuts was watching Paul play LF like Adam Dunn yesterday.

Heisey DL, Lutz called up. Whenever Lutz makes his debut, he will be the first German player out of the MLB Europe Academy to make the Show.

Paul is on the card to start LF tonight.

Lutz posted a .859 OPS in spring training and slashed .211/.294/.513 with 5 HR in 76 AB at Pensacola so far this year.
