I saw this and for about half a second said "no fucking way", then the other half a second I just sighed and prepared to go click on MLB traderumors to confirm the gory details then onto RedZone to read about how good of an idea it is.

Pre-click I'm calling this a AAA depth signing (it's a defense mechanism I've developed over the years)

If it isn't I'll be back in a purple faced, spittle flying fury to share my thoughts

7mil per for Mesoraco isnt bad money. Much better than anything else they've done lately. Of course when he tears his Braxton Miller and can never throw the ball back to the pitcher or any other base again, it'll be just another shitty contract

I'm going to go with E followed by A B C or D in any combination. I think he'll go on a Bath Salts binge and end up trying to hump a river boat, thereby ruining whatever part of his body gets caught in the propeller....

I'd love to have him be the RH power threat off the bench, he is young (25) and kills lefties. There are ways a creative organization could use him.

The Reds on the other hand will shy away because he isn't free and is a terrible defender no matter where you stick him (as opposed to the greek god of defense and walks Ryan Ludwick)
