For years, Becks has been referring to her child, the youngest of three, as "the infant" on her personal blog. But guarding the public from her son's gender was only part of her quest to let her kid just be a kid.

Sasha dresses in clothes he likes -- be it a hand-me-downs from his sister or his brother. The big no-no's are hyper-masculine outfits like skull-print shirts and cargo pants. In one photo, sent to friends and family, Sasha's dressed in a shiny pink girl's swimsuit. "Children like sparkly things," says Beck. "And if someone thought Sasha was a girl because he was wearing a pink swimming costume, then what effect would that have? "

Sasha's also not short on dolls, though Barbie is also off limits. "She's banned because she's horrible," Laxton says in the Cambridge interview.

Hiding your childs gender just seems irresponsible. I somewhat agree with the issue of gender stereotypes, if your son wants to play with barbies and your daugther GI Joes I don't think its a big deal let them. Hiding the childs gender from them just seems too far.

I like how they will not let the boy wear anything "hyper-masculine" yet post pictures of the kid in "sparkly" girls bathing suits.

Yeah, no agenda there. :roll1:

Poor kid. I hope he doesn't off himself one day because of his fucked up moms and their stupid social experiment.

In what Persian Paradise Parallel Universe is "Sasha" considered a "gender neutral" name?

Why are people even upset about the fact that boys are boys and girls are girls? I mean, hell I guess if you wanna do stuff the other way you can. This country has gotten tolerant enough that I'm pretty sure most people don't give a damn anyways
