RHCP sang the scUM fight song in the bus?

SMJ2617

Newbie
I dunno if this is true or not but I recently heard that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers performed somewhere in Columbus and apparantly sang the scUM fight song. From what I have heard their drummer was a native of Ann Arbor and thought it would be cute to sing the fight song. Apparantly they were booed and miscelaneous items were thrown in their general direction during this ordeal. I also heard that people have been calling into Columbus radio stations and requesting not to hear any RHCP any longer. I was just curious as to whether or not anyone else had heard anything about this and whether or not it could be confirmed. If so this band has just moved their way down my list and really pissed me off.

I hope you're kidding, if true who gives a shit. If a band from C-Bus went up there and played Hang on Sloopy or something we'd all be applauding them. Pretty insignificant. Either way, I still love the RHCP.

Nuh-Tee went to the concert.... maybe he could let us know.

Oliver Stone just called...he said to examine the fact that the RHCP drummer is in question here, Nuh-Tee is a drummer, this is an anonymous internet message board....hmmmmm.

Back and to the left....back and to the left....back and to the left...back and...

It's all true. At the end the drummer also said, and I'm paraphrasing, "Ya know, I kinda like you Buckeyes"

I have a brother in law who is a scUM fan. I like him and I like the Chili Peppers too. Not everyone can be perfect.

...and yet, he does not deny Stone's theory.

Here are some of the concert comments in the Dispatch:

Oct 31, 2006 09:21 pmVery disrespectful to Ohio State fans who paid lots of money to attend their show.

Oct 31, 2006 06:38 pmExcellent show, albeit a few song ommisions (Under the Bridge for sure), Anthony going into the chorus one verse too soon on "Soul to Squeeze" and the Michigan garbage. Overall, a concert to remember.

Oct 31, 2006 04:34 pmRHCP CONCERT TOTALLY AWESOME!! My husband & I had floor tickets section F3. This was my first time to see them in concert & I highly recommend seeing them if you haven't. You won't be disappointed at all. They know how to put on a concert. When they walked off the stage & Chad came back on to jam, he had the crowd screaming & then he stopped, stood up & pointed at the "M" logo (Michigan) on his shirt. The crowd stopped streaming & started booing at him. He laughed! I also like when Flea acknowledge this young girl who had to be about 9 or 10 years old, she was in section F2 with her parents. Totally awesome!!

Oct 31, 2006 02:56 pmVery good show by a very good band, but the Michigan fight song was a crowd killer.
