Rock Band/Guitar Hero Thread

Have GHWT, drum set has withstood 8 hours of kicking it's ass so far. I like it a lot better than the rockband set-up.
I really like the raised cymbals... its a great idea for realism. Does anyone else have a preference? I dont have either and know already I am want GHWT for the drum set... but on the fence on which game has the better tracklist... I fear I may be buying the Band Kit for GHWT and the solo game of RB2... but thats about 260 after taxes....

I think GHWT has the better track list, but Rock Band has the better platform/design as far as the game goes.

I can't offer any opinions on drums since I've only played Rock Band's, but RB2's drums come with outputs that allow you to add-on cymbals for great "realism". RB also has superior DLC.

I like Guitar Hero's guitars better, but some people enjoy the bigger Strat offered by Rock Band.

The First DLC for GHWT is also Death Magnetic, they made a deal with Metallica, so it's available for both GH3 and GHWT. So it looks like they are dedicated to their Downloadable content with World Tour. That's a page I am glad they took out of Rock Bands book since they were so off and on with the DLC previously.

The only way I could justify spending $300 would be knowing I play them every day and hopefully wouldn't have to replace the Ion set for a long time. If I want to beat up the drums I play my real set...I just can't get these Rock Band sets to last. I don't abuse them but playing some of these songs like Everlong and Blackened is hard on them.
