Watson not considering Clemens for U.S. roster for Beijing Games

NEW YORK -- Roger Clemens isn't welcome on the U.S. Olympic baseball team.

U.S. general manager Bob Watson said Wednesday that he isn't considering the 45-year-old right-hander for his roster for the Beijing Games.

"From my standpoint, we don't need that type of distraction," Watson said.

In addition to his duties as vice president of on-field operations for Major League Baseball, Watson is general manager of professional baseball operations for USA Baseball and works to select manager Davey Johnson's roster.

Tests of syringes and other steroid paraphernalia that trainer Brian McNamee submitted to federal agents will test positive for Roger Clemens' DNA, according to a brief filed in court by McNamee's lawyers.
Although there has been considerable speculation about the materials McNamee submitted to federal agent Jeff Novitzky in January, his attorneys had refused to discuss them publicly until the filing of the brief.
The brief, in support of McNamee's attempt to obtain an early dismissal of a defamation case Clemens filed against him or have the case moved to New York, was filed in court on Tuesday.

Receipts reportedly exist showing HGH shipment to Clemens

NEW YORK -- Convicted steroid distributor Kirk Radomski handed over shipping receipts to federal investigators for a package of human growth hormone that he claims he sent to Roger Clemens' home in Texas in 2002 or 2003, The Daily News reported late Tuesday night on its Web site.
Clemens, the seven-time Cy Young Award winner, is under investigation for perjury after telling Congress he never used steroids or human growth hormone. Brian McNamee, Clemens' personal trainer, told Congress that Clemens used performance-enhancing drugs and that he provided them to the 300-game winner.

The soap opera continues...

Didn't Roger say that he used to give him B-12 shots??

So you put some steroid in the syringe later, and say that I shot him up.

In my mind, it doesn't add or subtract from what we know.

I mean, I am sure that he did shoot up Roger with performance enhancers, but me being sure is not evidence.

Ah....it's all clear now. Clemens couldn't have taken roids, because his family has a history of heart condition. His brother had a heart attack, and his step dad died of a heart attack.

His brother probably got his heart condition from his step dad.
