Rose Bowl: USC 38, Penn St. 24 (Final)

Oregonbuck- hahahaha... you've been doin that to me all night man.

I will say this Oregon we should be one dangerous team! More so than this year I think. The offensive line will be young next year but IMO will have better physical tools than this years line.

I think we do have the better defensive line next year (well atleast we have so much returning and they dont).

Next year we'll have a better Dline, and secondary.

They have us in QB, WR, RB and Oline

We tie with LB's, but maybe slight edge OSU.

But our strengths match up very well with their strengths. IE their oline vs our dline.

I will stick to my guns and USC is the best team in college football. I dislike USC a lot, but regardless they are the best team I have seen this year. The system the way it is will give us a NC later but if I had a vote right now USC would get it.

As been said a million times before, USC winning x amount of Rose Bowls is not a big deal, for god sakes it is a home game for these guys. Ask any coach and they hate bowl games because so many things can happen in 6 weeks before they are played. Add to that and the fact kids have to travel 2100 + for a games makes the Rose Bowl alomst a joke when USC or UCLA is in it.

Anywho, way to keep fighting Penn State. Lets hope the Big Ten can get 2 wins this bowl season.

and the Trojans are the best team this season.

The funny thing, doesn't everybody seem to say that after the Rose Bowl every year?

USC starts strong, drops one or two in conference, blows out an overmatched or runner up Big 10 and, presto! "They're the Best/Fastest/Most Talentedess/Biggest/Meanest/NFL readiess team in football I say"

Yes, they're a great team, but seriously folk's, change the record...

hahaha gosh... They give up points in the second half and all the sudden we're questioning if they're the best defense this year? They are the best defense BY FAR nation wide, HANDS DOWN. I think their defense played lazy that second half considering they were up 38-7 early in the 3rd quarter.
31-14.

I thought Penn could have gone for the 2-pt conv to make it 31-15 if successful. Then, instead of kicking the field goal, go for the td to try to make it 38-23.

I agree with everything here... USC, IMO is the best.

Everytime me and friends make up a fictional playoff USC always ends up the champ.

it has been a cycle over the past few years

USC preseason top 5, lose to someone like Oregon State Stanford or UCLA, end up in the Rose Bowl and beat *insert overmatched big 10 team here* then the "USC is the best team!!!" talk starts and "LOOK OUT FOR THEM NEXT YEAR!!!!"

repeat that process every year.............

Pryor against a brand new defense will keep us in that game.

A seasoned Pryor at that. The '08 and '09 recruiting classes give me reason for optimism. I think most of those guys have the right type of attitude and ability to be able to get us back to when we were winning big games.

It is obvious that Big 10 corners are not prepared to play against elite receivers. The main reason is that Big 10 recievers are mediocre at best.

Who were All Big 10? Decker and Williams? Are you kidding me? That's a joke. Do these guys measure up to Ginn, Gonzalez, Jenkins, Lee Evans, Brylon Edwards, the Purdue guys, etc etc. No they don't. You can see the dropoff in talent in OSU. OSU WRs are fine now, but htey would not be starting with Jenkins, Ginn, Gonzalez, Glenn, Boston around. Not even close.

As good as Malcolm has been, he's been average at best against UF, LSU, and USC. Does not instill confidence going against Texas.

Disagree there... I think Jenkins has been just as good, but he's been scored on (LSU) when he was put at Saftey for whatever reason. Malcom IMO has never had a bad game for us.
