My understanding is Florida might be the biggest threat to Miami if/when Golden gets shows the door. However, the biggest news to me is that his mom is coming up this weekend as well...as are the Bosas. I get giddy just thinking about Bruce in the OSU offense.

With the way things are going if Golden isn't fired it'd be a surprise, and if he's not why would he want to stay and coach for a fan base that willingly pays for plane fly over every game calling for his job!? He's as good as gone. And recruits are starting to take notice. Imagine being on an official visit to Miami and you see a plane flying a message that says: fire Al Golden, not a good way to recruit

Doesn't matter if he doesn't get fired this year... recruits have to know he wont be their all 3 or 4 years of their years there.

Things aren't going well for Miami today. I'm far from a recruiting expert so this is just me thinking out loud...Could it be better for us if Golden stays considering the state of their program? A lot of times it seems that new coaches come in and there is a lot of excitement which could possibly lead to them hanging on to Bruce. I don't know a lot about Beard but would he be enough to keep Bruce if Golden stayed and the program continued to wallow in mediocrity? It seems that a lot of others here feel that Beard has been the key to their recruitment of Bruce.

I don't think there's a way that Golden can stay after this loss. They're hyping getting Mario Cristobal from Alabama, which could excite the program. Beard is so big because he used to coach Bruce before he left for STA also, a relationship has already been built.

Oh absolutely, I believe he is gone as well. I wasn't aware of the relationship that Beard had with Bruce. What I did wonder is just whether Golden getting fired (which most would think would help us in Bruce's recruitment,) could in any way have the opposite affect and possibly attract Bruce more to Miami if they make a positive hire.

At this point, the only realistic positive hire they can have is Cristobal, unless their wet dream of getting Butch Davis back comes to fruition. Both are quite realistic, and would be seen as their version of Hairball to "bring back the U". We can only hope that little Bosa works on him, in addition to Grimes
