I'm new to the "scalping" game. My friends and I are driving down from Chicago for the night. We have a hotel, but the 3 of us don't have any tickets yet.

Any advice? We're looking to sit between the 20's and lower than the nose bleeds.

Well, since you asked.....

1. Read this: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jessela...most-expensive-big-ten-championship-game-yet/

The ticket prices apparently are going up.

Just sayin': you might check out the online ticket sites (i.e. StubHub, ticketCity, etc.) and see if you can get something reasonable priced before getting to Indianapolis. At least check out what the current "going rate" happens to be so you don't get overcharged by a scalper.

2. More advice, do not buy tickets from anyone named Barney Rubble.

My sister and fiance' were pretty much handed tickets for like $20 the last few years to the Big Ten Championship, day before or day of the game.

This year is just crazy different. Going to keep my ears to the ground and hope something works out because I don't want to miss this.

Good luck, i am going to be doing the same.... Being in town, no need for a hotel at least....

I believe when scalping there is some law about proximity to the stadium and being on the street or sidewalk.

I live in Indy and work downtown, and will be getting off work right before the game. I'm going to try and scalp, I usually wait and get tickets a few minutes into the first quarter, prices usually drop a lot by then.
