Along those same lines..anyone else remember the little recruiting war for the top HS DE's coming out of Ohio in 2000? scUM got Pat Massey and we got some schlep named Simon Frazier:wink2: .

Massey, Burgess and Crable...I'm sorry I know they are just kids but fuck if I don't enjoy watching their collective ass sucking up north.

I for one was delighted to see Burgess standing around on every play and never having his name called.:osu:

Michigan linebackers Shawn Crable and Prescott Burgess had Wolverine fans giddy last fall and not only because the two Ohio natives spurned the Buckeyes to play for the Maize and Blue. Supremely talented ballplayers in high school – Burgess was ranked sixth overall in the nation, Crable 39th by Rivals.com – the duo had the potential to make an immediate impact as freshmen. Many recruiting experts, including Rivals', rated Burgess the top safety in the nation after an impressive senior season at Warren Harding. But even during his recruitment there was talk of Burgess making the move to linebacker.

Check out the whole article; according to the wolverine Burgess was ready for a "breakout" season last year.

I don't want to start a new scUM link, cuz they don't deserve links, so i'll just put this here. Boy do they suck!!! LLLoyd might be LLLLLoyd this year. They've played 2 cupcakes this year, and 2 decent teams...and are 2-2. Next week is scUM vs. scUM state. Who the hell wins that game? I loved seeing scUM lose today, but I wish it was to somebody other than Wisky. ANYBODY other than Wisky. Part of me knows we need scUM to be ranked high if we want any chance of a Rose Bowl...but screw it, I'd rather see them fall flat on their face. They have no defense...and their offense is inconsistant. I love reading this scUM boards when they are down. Here's some fun quotes.

"How in the heck is Guts not our QB?...Carr is such a joke as are the rest of our coaching staff as are most of our alum/fans. I am sick right now!"

"The Motor City Bowl...at least it will be a short drive."

"after suffering through another poor performance, it is time for lloyd to go. he loses the big games, ohio state, usc, tennessee, texas, to name a few. he has talent, but does not get the most from it. good bye lloyd. more losses to come in this bluest of years: msu, ohio state. go away lloyd."

Nothing makes me smile more than seeing those weasels crying their heads off because of 2 losses. HAHA. I either want to see scUM win out...or lose 6 games. It'd be nice to be the team to end their bowl streak. How sweet would that be! GO BUCKS!!!

Seems like they are really worried about MSU over there...maybe don't even want to think about what we can do to them...

Damnit, if that isn't a jinx I dunno what is...fucking rivalry games...

*puts fingers in ears* We're DOOMED! Michigan will destroy us!

Let us remember, previous records go out the window in The Game. I don't care if they lose every other game, we will be challenged when we go there. Also, Minnesota, MSU and Penn State remain very tough games still.

That said, I like our chances to win out, provided we remain focused and maintain respect for the capabilities of all these teams. I still believe we will put enough points on the board in the remaining games to give us a chance to play in the national championship game.

Oh yes, and I really, really do want to go into Ann Arbor and win by three touchdowns.
