about to hit the nail?

going to hit the nail?

i dont get it...

I'm assuming scooter was either thinking of Shaq or the kids on the show, and by posting that picture he meant that "he'd hit it". :wink2:

show has good intentions but i am severely questioning his methods in getting the kids to lose weight. obesity in pediatric clinics isn't as simple as "ok kids go run" and come back to me, especially in pre-pubescent periods. point being i hope they have an RD or something along those lines to guide them. after that i find the show rather cheesy. for one shaq is fat, and for two even though i believe his motives to be good and true, one has to wonder what frenzy of a shitstorm it may create down the road with other athletes.

You're questioning his methods without seeing them or knowing a lick about them? Anything that gets kids active is a good thing. Shaq doesn't need a doctorate in nutrition to run a camp for kids. He's trying to do a good thing and all you can do is attack. I guess I'm not shocked by that at all.

All that said, the network likely isn't going into this without some kind of medical advisors and fitness experts to guide the show. It could be in the mold of "Celebrity Fit Club" with a Doctor, Child Psychiatrist and Fitness Expert on a panel setting goals for the kids. Goals that include social interaction, weight loss, confidence building and team spirit.

Or they will likely just run "drink pirate" relays and throw mini kegs over high bars like in the "strongest man" competitions.

you're right i don't know anything about it which is why i'm questioning it. not every kid can be put through conditions such as running on a track as they show in the preview. physiologist, dieticians, and nutritionists recommend that children in these areas begin a program through their diet first and gradually work into a a very mild activity program and work their way up. throwing a kid on a track and telling them to go run out of the blue is not always the best thing to do, and in numerous ways can do just as much damage as good. and i also hope they have some type of staffing for that show.

Common sense will tell you that this show would have all the proffesional people working on the show even if not ever seen on camera. They would not want to risk someone dying and them losing tons of money because of it.

I most likely won't see a minute of this show, but anything that tries to get kids active is a good thing.

I just worry that they won't have proper epuipment like underarmor to work out in.
