I searched shark week and I've gotta say I am way disappointed that there isn't more discussion over such an important event in a non-sports filled week. Seriously, what is occupying your attention? (if you say baseball, I will tell you I am a Reds fan and don't care about baseball accordingly, so can that argument. Also, I am a Bengals fan and the offseason is competing with the regular season for the most depressing designation, so again, not interested) There is massive power and danger on the Discovery Channel for a whole week and I, for one, would love to discuss it.

Is there a new Dirty Jobs in honor of Shark Week? A new Mythbusters? If not, I don't care.

I've never understood the fascination with sharks. I have a hard time envisioning a more terrifying creature, one that lives in an element where I am basically moving in super-slow-mo while it moves at hyper speed. Full of teeth, with very little capacity for reasoning.

Typically I've seen where people are able to punch it in the nose while it's gnawing off one of their limbs. I'll stay on shore instead.

I'd rather take my chances with Land Sharks. Just don't open the door and you're OK.

I'm pissed I'm not getting my normal Discovery shows this week.

Mob Week on AMC > Shark week. No question.

I'd be willing to bet a majority of people say they watch it just because they hear others saying they watch it, when in reality, those other people aren't really watching it.
