She is QUEEN of the safari, bitches!

I'm not going to be impressed until a female uses a Nerf bow and arrow to kill an elephant. Now that would be impressive.

Dip them in curare and its no big deal. My wife has the kids out there bringing these buggers down every weekend when the bloody things try to come in the back yard and trample the flowers. Just have to hope that they fall into the reserve, otherwise it's a helluva mess cleaning these buggers up.

BBQ that SOB up!! I'd pound some elephant ribs. My dog would love an elephant ear to gnaw on. Hell, I bet that elephant trunk would be mighty tender too! Throw some Sweet Baby Ray's on it and mmmmmmmmmm!!! I bet it beats that Kentucky Grilled Chicken.

I did not read the article but you usually need at least a 80-100 pound bow to hunt big game in Africa. Her arrow was probably very heavy also. You have to demonstrate some level of competency. I give her some rep for that. They waited overnight, at 12 yards I imagine the animal was dead shortly after the shot. Now if she would have tried a water buffalo that would have had a much higher risk.

Fred Bear killed an elephant long ago with a simple recurve bow and cedar arrow. Today's technology enables accuracy and penetration that surpasses anything he had in his day.

Not something i would do but it sounds like it benefited the locals in many ways.

Exactly, not something I would do but the size of bow, the draw required and the weight of the arrow, combined with the thick skin and muscle and fat layers that it had to get through I just find incredibly impressive for a woman. She was committed too, trained for a long time to be able to draw the bow.

If it was Mike Vick shooting that bow, he would have shot the arrow 20 feet over the elephants head or had the arrow skip 5 feet in front of its front feet.

Yeah, but then he would have held it's head underwater until it drowned.

Just waiting for them to open season on lawyers. No bag limit, no hours restrictions or baiting bans. My divorce attorney would be off limits. Sorry still no pictures. :wink2:

It would be hard to walk down the scotch isle at a liquor store for all the tree stands. :p
