To be clear, I think these were Ohtanis bets. (I mean not lead pipe lock sure, but, I think its the most likely scenario. How does an interpreter have a 3.4 million credit line?)

On the other hand, why gamble illegally in California? shit, he could have paid me 250k a year to park myself at the Caesars sportsbook bar and wager whatever he wants. I realize there's probably some sketchiness with that but you eliminate the entire illegal bookie part and as long as you don't bet on baseball its about sorting out taxes mostly. I'm sure there's a bit more than that but he's got a real problem right now

The timing is impeccable.

He finally leaves that dead weight franchise in Anaheim and goes to a Golden Boy franchise and now, this :lol:
