SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

The two-game winning streak in The Game just didn't make sense. This explains everything; it's all coming together now.

Glory be if this was something to the effect of a player receiving money before NIL was in place, the staff being aware of it and that player being on the field in both ‘21 and ‘22 leading to forfeits of the two seasons’ games, negating B1G championships and CFP appearances.

Remember when Harbaugh was accusing Day of breaking da rules? Terribly ironic

And it was his loyal sycophant Bacon who gladly served as his "journalist" mouthpiece for the never backed up innuendo. Also, love that the violation centered around Dudek, who was constantly insinuating cheating on Ohio State's part. Project much, tsun?

What else can you expect from a grown ass man who calls himself "Matty D" in a non ironic "I Think i'm cool" way?

Bitching out of the 2020 game is what turned the tables, not some stupid bullshit rule violation the NCAA wants to enforce.

Skipping the ass beating they had coming to them in 2020 completely flipped the rosters on both teams and changed the dynamic of the rivalry.

It certainly gave Harbaugh a 24 month reprieve from The Streak in which to figure some things out or more likely go find some people who could figure some things out. That breathing space is more important than people realize. Had they come down to Columbus for what surely would have been an epic blowout, that boulder just keeps rolling over them into the next year.

Had he been stomped there and if we actually tried to hang 100 on them. Well he might not still have a job

I think there was a pretty good shot at Harbaugh getting fired after 2020 if they didn't avoid the game and got destroyed. Things were very restless with him at that time but avoiding the game gave it at least enough relief to not shit can him.

Coming off a disappointing end of 2018 with a 23 point loss to Ohio State and a 41-15 beatdown by Florida in the bowl game. Michigan lost 4 games total and lost their last 2 games of the 2019 season very badly and what they did play in 2020 was a train wreck with 4 losses and their only Ws being against a 3-4 Minnesota team and a 3 OT survival of a 3-6 Rutgers team. If they had to play their whole 2020 schedule, they have a tossup vs Maryland and probably lose to Iowa and Ohio State (badly) IDK if Harbaugh woulda survived that.

So the reporting is saying that a “multigame suspension” is possible for Hairball’s transgressions.

Holy shit! If he doesn’t get an NFL job, and since they have another killer non-conference schedule this fall, he could miss home games against East Carolina, UNLV, and perhaps even Bowling Green!
Wouldn't Hairball's suspension carry over to the NFL, just like Tressel and Pryor?

So, I know you are all enjoying dunking on the rival, and lord knows we've earned this, ever minute since that playoff game started. But also? I'm really having a hard time caring about what the violations supposedly were? Watching a recruit work out over zoom? Buying two hamburgers for a pair of recruits at The Jug? Like really? I kinda feel like "quoting Bo in your "I think I'll be back" post, even though you know he's a scumbag" was a bigger crime. If Jim wants to use this to f*ck off, I won't stop him. But the idea that any of this is a breaking point for the program, assuming the rumors are true, seems kinda loose.

I dunno, I'm not a big "leaders and the best" kinda dude; I just want to win, and none of this "cheating" raises to a level where I'd feel bad about it. YMMV and yes Jim saying Ryan Day was practicing when he shouldn't be looks AWFUL hypocritical right now, etc. But also? Why would I care tho? I'll get back to you after the NCAA releases everything but I don't see Jim getting Tresseled here. I am still worried he's looking for an excuse to bolt tho.

He won't get Tresseled because the initial violations aren't as serious as they were with Tressel. But the lying is always worse than the actual violations to the NCAA. He will probably get suspended a few games (likely just their scrub OOC games) and then move on. Not sure that's enough for him to bolt, unless he just throws a autistic fit over it and rage quits.

The actual violations mean nothing, just like tattoo discounts meant nothing. Lying to/not cooperating with the NCAA is a big deal in any B1G University, just ask Jim Tressel.

Simple Jim could get Tresseled but who knows?

The flack is 100% in response to the "Leaders and Best" types and their incessant holier than thou bullshit.

Totally fair, I've been reading the MGoBlog threads too so I get it. Personally tho? I'm pissed at how soft this is. Like we were breaking rules and THAT's the class you ended up with? Jeezus H. Christ, why aren't we buying these kids Cadillacs and $500 running shoes under the table? How you gonna tell me we're keeping up with the SEC with Jug burgers? They're not even that good!

Just wait until you realize Michigan was also cheating during the RR and Hoke years. All schools are cheating....Ohio State included. A school as big as Michigan? Your kids were getting theirs, even while being terrible.

I feel like our awkward interactions stem from the fact that no matter what I say, you're pretty sure I'm an MGoBlog slappy and respond accordingly. I know we cheat; I'm 45 not 12. I wish we'd cheat more. My biggest complaint about the 90's was "maybe we'd stop losing 4 games a year if we cheated as well as the SEC."

I'm just not that guy man. But thanks for the hot tip.
