SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

If he doesn't go this year he 100% will do it again next year and every year after until some stupid NFL team gives him exactly what he wants. Michigan is his fallback, he doesn't really want to be there anymore.

He might only have this year before a show cause, and then he loses all his leverage and is surrounded by scandal.
Right now the shine on that NC* overshadows the scandal.
It's now or never, but im not sure he grasps all of that.

Yeah, all but the ambulance chaser, have stayed quiet. I just wonder how the issue of having to be elected will play into their decisions. Are they willing to face the wrath of the Wal-Marts (well, let's be honest...after the last few months, the actual alumni too) as the ones who nailed the Messiah to the cross.

They will let the NCAA and/or B1G do the nailing, and make a feeble attempt at legal action (same as we saw already).
Show cause is out of their hands once the kabuki theater is over.

This feels like the least shiny NC I can remember, they've picked up zero momentum with anything off of it and now talk has quickly shifted to "whats Harbaugh gonna do" they hardly even got a real celebration period

Would be a shame if their only real title in this lifetime was overshadowed by the coach leaving because of a coming NCAA hammer because they cheated the last 3 years. They can pump it up all they want but everyone else will see it as a sham.

Sounds like Harbaugh is stalling to try to bait NFL team into giving him a better contract this time, rather than maybe trying to use the NFL to get a better deal from scUM.

Still acting like the first round of violations was an innocent sandwich?

John U. are feeding the DFBIA a ‘Bacon’ cheeseburger.

I'm having a hard time getting my head around an NFL team interviewing a guy who is publicly stating that he is still working on a contract with his university. I'd be like figure the fuck out what you want to do, and if head coach in the NFL is it, then maybe we'll talk to you then.
I don’t think NFL teams really care about scUM or their negotiations with Hariball. If he can make them a better team then they will sign him up regardless of the scandal or these bogus talks. Like @ORD_Buckeye said, he’s just stalling for the best NFL offer And it’s blatantly obvious that he wants back in the NFL, and even more so that he has nothing left to prove in college at this point(no matter if he won under nefarious ways)

There is probably still plenty of "we have to protect the reputation of the university first and not play this nonsense with sports" attitude on the scUM board. This is a real possibility.

Just sayin': Maybe or maybe not. Keep in mind that the members of the scUM Board of Regents (which consists of eight members) are elected at large in biennial statewide elections. And just what type of Regent(s) do you think the DFBIA would vote for?

As a man of massive self absorbed ego Harbaugh I can only imagine thinks even more now that he’s a lock to win a superbowl if he can get back into the league. He’s taking the Chargers job without question if he actually gets offered it.

Tressel got “show cause” and , as a result, was going to miss games as an analyst for the Colts correct?

He has all the leverage and the Chargers aren't his only choice. He could also go to Washington(DC), Las Vegas or LA. And I'd say if it opens up, ol Jerry would even consider him in Dallas. He's getting an NFL position. It's just a matter of who

You are forgetting the Vikings last year. Never underestimate his ability to flub interviews and be a weirdo
