SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

McCarthy's problem when he gets to the NFL is that the passing windows are so much more tighter all the time than in college and he isn't going to have all day to throw like he did constantly at scUM.

He's fine when guys are running wide open and he has all day to throw, that's not how it works in the NFL a vast majority of the time though. When the pressure is on and coverages are tighter he turns into a pretty mediocre QB.

That and you have to wonder how much of his "success" at scUM was due to having a good idea of exactly what the defense was doing, because of their cheating of course not because he's some master student of the game defense reader.

Any team who would waste a 1st rounder on him is a special kinds of stupid.

Makes you wonder how many teams will require him to breakdown film in front of them as part of the draft process.

I disagree. I think Trevor Lawrence has the athleticism to play quarterback in the NFL, and McCarthy doesn't.
But what do I know? I thought that Saquon Barkley would be a bust, based on his performances against Ohio State.

He is the back he was in college based on what I’ve seen. Big runs or nada. Very little in between

Agree, Barkley is the same guy he was at PSU.
He will break off the occasional big run for a TD, but after 10-15 carries he's a liability.
And this year he couldn't even do that.
Definitely been a decent player to have for fantasy or as a gadget player, but as the 2nd overall pick... oof.
I hesitate to call him a bust, but #2 overall is a waste. Especially at a position that can get production from mid round dudes.

It feels like he wants to someone to kiss his feet and make him feel like there could be no one other than him. And after a team interviews and finds that out they are like uhh nooo
[/QUOTE]
Yeah, his tenure at San Fran ended in a not so pretty fashion.
