I thought it was the last because it said season finale. And I thought the very last Simpsons was going to be the Movie. I hope you are right and that this isn't the last one. I agree it hasn't been as good lately but it's still one of the best shows around. Hell it's been on since 1989 and it still kicks ass. I didn't like the episode they showed before the 400th one....it was a parody of the show 24. It wasn't great.

I didn't like it either.

The film is produced alongside the series, despite long-time claims by those involved in the show's production that a movie would enter production only when the series had reached its end.

A buddy of mine said that they're trying to make it 20 season. Right now, they're at 17 or 18 or something. But that's just "I heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone, etc."

I was a little disappointed with the episode. Not great. But the 8:00 episode (spoof from "24") was pretty good.

I think they just finished 18.

I wasn't thrilled with the 24 spoof, it had a few moments but I don't watch 24 so I think that hurt it from my point of view. The other one wasn't a classic either but again, it had it's moments.

I think they'll do 20 seasons (since the contract ends in 2 years).

They still provide some laughs. Of course it will never be like the old days, but I give them a ton of respect for writing 400 episodes and staying on the air on a major TV network.
