Pheasant
This space for rent.
I had a niece born yesterday, she's number 16- but the first for my 2nd oldest brother (7 kids- yes, my parents are catholic ). My sister in law was in labor for 36 hours before they did a c-section. After a brief stuggle to start breathing she was fine for the first 7 hours of her life. Then she started having small seizures that stopped her breathing. The hospital in Findlay exhausted their diagnostic capabilities, which evidently aren't very extensive, so at about 10 pm last night she was taken to Toledo Childrens Hospital.
My brother is there now, and will be there until she comes home. His wife will probably be released from the hospital tomorrow, and will go up to Toledo as soon as possible. The way the doctors are talking she could be there for several weeks while they try to determine what's causing the seizures. She had a CT scan last night, and everything looked normal. Blood tests are ongoing, and an MRI will probably be done today, if it hasn't already been. I came home from there this morning at around 4, and will be heading back later today.
My brother is the pastor of a church, and probably the best suited member of my family to deal with something like this, but I don't know how he's going to be able to keep doing his ministry since he will be in Toledo indefinitely. His wife has been unable to see her newborn for the past 14 hours, and won't be able to see her until tomorrow at the earliest. I can't even imagine what she's going through, and I know my brother is struggling- which I've never seen him do before.
I would appreciate any prayers you could offer.
